I loved Duncan's prior two books - The River Why and The Brothers K - but this is terrible. The first 1/4 or so starts out somewhat promising but then it descends into spirtual drivel.

This book is terrible, the author keeps hitting you over the head with this lame melodramatic romance.

This book was terrible. There is no plot to speak of and the point of view jumps around in a very disjointed way. As other reviews have mentioned, it was likely that Kesey was on drugs when he wrote most of this and it shows. Other similar sprawling family novels set in the Pacific Northwest that are far, far better are Deep River by Karl Marlantes and The Brothers K by David James Duncan.

I had no particular interest in Richard Nixon and bought this book because it was on sale. It is excellent and I can't recommend it highly enough. A balanced and incisive look at what drove the man.

Terrible book. The wrtier tries very hard for a certain kind of folksy vulgar tone and it just doesn't work. The narration is also bad. I regret buying this book.

I was fairly familiar with the WeWork story and thought this book was great, a history of its rise and fall that moves along quickly and covers most of the important points. Neumann ends up looking like a first class jerk, which seems to be fairly accurate.

This book is great, one of the best that I have listened to. It's the story of this jolly vagabond misfit who spends most of his time canoeing all over the United States. He goes missing and the author retraces many of his routes, meeting up with people who the paddler had met along the way.

It made me want to follow in his footsteps, at least for a bit.

This book is terrific, a very moving story with great characters and a brisk plot. Bramhall is a top notch narrator and perfect for the material. One of my favorite books of the last year.

I enjoyed this book. You know exactly what you are getting with Pearlman's books and this did not disappoint. There are a number of great stories on the team and the individual players.

This book was mediocre. The stories are disjointed and the author veers into Bigfoot.conspiracy theories for what are easily explainable disappearances. I do not recommend it.
