Story
I’m a fae beast king. It’s preordained that I have to take a mate, and it can’t be just anyone. The universe will decide on my behalf. All I know is that my fated mate will be an enchantress of great power and that when the universe chooses her for me…I must obey. To fight the calling will mean my demise. I have come to trust the process. The Great Unknown would never steer me wrong. Then I find her: Gabriella is everything I thought she would be and more. Beautiful beyond compare, terrifying, all-powerful… Unfortunately, she’s also tainted by great evil.

Male Narrator needs Improvement, but I still gave it a listen to continue the series. USE A CREDIT for a LOWER PRICE THO
Reviewed: 01-23-25
OK. LET ME GIVE YOU the RUN DOWN BEFORE YOU BUY. The FEMALE NARRATOR IS GREAT. The MALE NARRATOR IS ROBOTIC & REALLY SUCKS in BOOK 1, improves a little in EACH NEW BOOK. IN MY OPINION ONLY (NOT CONFIRMED) he might have been new when starting this series or at least I hope so, lol. his sound (base, deepness is nice), it's just the ROBOTIC "being read to bore" that is annoying. BUT LIKE I SAID, HE IMPROVES EACH BOOK & there is alot of the GREAT FEMALE NARRATOR & of course a GREAT STORY to DISTRACT and help you OVERLOOK the male NARRATORS flaws.
🔴 In addition, I would like to say don't let the negative statement I have said about the male NARRATOR deter you from buying the book as it is intended to be a WARNING or PREPARATION and Other reasons WHY.
📌 #1 THE SERIES IS WORTH IT.
📌#2 WE ALL GET OUR START SOMEWHERE. I can HONESTLY SAY, the male narrator has a SEXY TONE/VOICE. I just think he hasn't found his pace & comfort zone yet. As a matter of fact, I believe he has SERIOUS POTENTIAL, and in a few years he will be a narrator women search for because he does have that attractive tone we all look for. So keep an eye out for his name in 2-3 years because I would bet he's gonna make it big. He just has not found his "groove" yet, lol. So like i said, ROBOTIC now, but hella potential. With that that said and being aware going in, the book series and female narrator MORE THAN picks up ANY slack and it's totally worth the CREDIT . I DID THINK the BOOKS were WAY OVER PRICED at $23 EACH , so i used my CREDITS to get them for $11 and they are TOTALLY WORTH $11.
🔴🚨🔴🚨 PERSONAL NOTE: BEWARE: I have NOTICED a HUGE INCREASE in PRICES on HERE RECENTLY & it's REDICULOUS. We have SEVERAL PLATFORM OPTIONS to NOT PAY these INFLATION PRICES. Therefore, do NOT FEEL OBLIGATED to ONLY BUY in ONE LOCATION. JUST SAYING. I DEARLY LOVE AUDIBLE, but LATELY some PRICES are HIGHER than BARNES & NOBLE ( I CHECKED✔) 😘😘😘
🔴🎤📣📌🗣 As for this particular book in the series, It wasn't my "jam". ➡➡HOWEVER, there was NOT anything wrong with it. It was actually AWESOME, INTRIGUING , and all check marks were there for a great paranormal book. I'm just not a Fae fan. This series covers them all, so I'm looking forward to the next one which I think will be the DRAGONS‼ I haven't looked ahead yet to check, so I could be wrong, I'm just going off of where this one left off. But if it is the DRAGONS, I'm about to have a BLAST 👂LISTENING😈‼
enjoy🎤👂🎤👂🎤😘💙🇺🇸. AUDIBLE 4 LIFE

Twelve humans are left stranded on a wintry alien planet. I'm one of them. Yay, me. In order to survive, we have to take on a symbiont that wants to rewire our bodies to live in this brutal place. I like to call it a cootie. And my cootie's a jerk, because it also thinks I'm the mate to the biggest, surliest alien of the group.

You'd think being abducted by aliens would be the worst thing that could happen to me. And you'd be wrong. Because now, the aliens are having ship trouble, and they've left their cargo of human women - including me - on an ice planet. And the only native inhabitant I've met? He's big, horned, blue, and really, really has a thing for me....

Great...but CAUTION 1ST CHAPTER TRIGGER
Reviewed: 11-15-24
ok. if I hadn't read the COMMENTS I would have STOPPED listening the first chapter, so let's rip the bandage off because the book is awesome.
the 1st chapter has a mega rape scene, but that is the ONLY TRIGGER in the entire book. it has its purpose to demonstrate the horrific conditions the girls are in when captured.
the book is very well written. no editing issues. interesting and you tell this first book is a set up for much more. think of it like a great introduction to a new world. I will buy book 2. gotta know which girl ends up with which alien, and dying to know more about the girl with bow skills.

HORRIFIC FEMALE CHARACTER NARRATOR!
Reviewed: 11-14-24
I really want to hear the sequels, but I cant.the Female narration sounds like a computer. i kept thinking maybe she will unwind after a bit, that was wishful thinking. there was about three minutes in chapter 25 where she didn't sound like a computer reading to me. i will not read ANY story with her as the narrator in the future. the story was pretty good. the male narrator was good. enter at your own risk.youve been warned.youre better off reading it yourself.. have a lovely day.

I want hours of my life back!
Reviewed: 11-11-24
i hate being negative, but here it goes and i will identify the positives as well. The story lacks a strong plot. it has one that i thought was going to be good but not much was done with it. the editing, however, was spot on, and probably as close to perfect as one can get. I fell asleep several times during the book, would wake up and have to backtrack to where I left off. the main characters are developed pretty ok "ish". it was more like a well done OUTLINE of a book, than an actual book. I really only finished it because I paid for it.
My Suggestions: Pull the current version of the book OFF the shelves & site. Spend more time developing the characters, plot, and audience/character connection. we need to identify with the feelings of the characters. As in : introduce us, seduce us, intrigue us, hook us, yo-yo our emotions, make us struggle with sides, and keep us guessing. this book has a lot of potential, but as is, is just sleepy material. I will NOT be continuing the series as i seriously regret the money I spent on this one. HOWEVER, I DO NOT WISH TO DISCOURAGE the AUTHOR. UNIQUE IDEAS are HARD to FIND. I WOULD LIKE TO ENCOURAGE the AUTHOR to take another look at it, don't just add filler, look at SUGGESTIONS ABOVE, and if you have friends you TRUST to be HONEST with you about the good & the BAD, you could start a brain storming group to get fresh ideas and above ALL TRUTH. If you need help, I'm AVAILABLE, ONLY because I see POTENTIAL HERE that could be great with some HELP, But you'll need a group of brain storming honest people. variety is the spice of life and diversified opinions can improve this so much. I truly wish you the best of luck. take this down and add some quality and turn it into a best seller!

I guess I'm one of the last survivors of the human race, and I'm stranded on this hell of a desert alien planet. Sucks to be me. Our ship crashed months ago, and those of us left are struggling to survive the boiling heat in barbaric living conditions. The only reason we're not all dead is one of my friends got knocked up by a native alien, and he lets us live in his ruined city.

The moment we felt the mate bond, Kaci had only one choice to make: surrender to instinct and bear our pups like a good girl or force us to chase her down, belt her ass, and breed her hard. She chose hard, and she got it. Over and over again. But the truth is she was ours long before we marked her.

If you're having trouble getting in the mood....LOOK NO FURTHER THAN RIGHT HERE. other than that, it states this is a standalone. I find that sad. it has the POTENTIAL to go much further than book porn. The background potential is almost there to start a serious trilogy, but just as it's getting into something substantial, the sex comes. not complaining, the sex was way over the top than what I normally look for and very well written. I'm not disappointed at all, just feel like the Author can do much, much more with this if they wrote sequels. enjoy.

Reminds me of Stephen King
Reviewed: 08-22-24
GREAT STORY. I can see it's supposed to be a reimagining of Beauty & the Beast but it's more of an original with hints of the fairy tale. It reminds me of a Stephen King type of story because it's a half way HEA. I don't want to give any spoilers but there is a happiness at the end and much sadness to get the HEA. It taps into authentic human emotions. Well told "narrator ", plot well done, only wish there was more romance, but overall great read.

They say monsters are made. I was born one. With an angelic face and a cursed talent, I eat magic and ask for seconds. When I pass through the land, flowers wither, earth scorches, and colors bleed out—all at the command of my father, the God of Ruin. I escaped his prison, only to stumble upon a dangerous school ruled by five heirs. Girls fight to fall into their laps, even though they’re all hot mess assholes.

it took till the very last paragraph to get to the point. I suppose this is all just a build up for book 2. I kept waiting & waiting for the point, "that lil' Bob is actually a girl" to be exposed so we could get on with the meat of the story... but that is the ending. I "MIGHT" chance book 2 if it's a great price, if not then no. this is one of those stories that has great "potential" and the idea of the story is great, but it's executed so slowly, with repetitive acts like picking on the squire over and over to where I wish I had skipped through at least half the book and it wouldn't make a difference.
however, now that it is FINALLY out in the open that the squire is indeed female, I hope it takes off, but I won't chance it if there's not a good sale on the book.
