The second Agatha Christie book I’ve read. I read history and science nonfiction mainly but needed a break with lighter fiction. This book and the other: “Death on the Nile” made a nice change of pace.

Preventing mental disabilities caused by critical care treatment is the goal of the author a critical care doctor. From his first realization that critical care practices leave patients with diminished mental abilities to the implementation of changes in treatment methods. These changes result in less dementia, less loss of IQ, longer life span, less anger and other benefits for patients.

I read as many books written by doctors and others in the saving of lives, I rate this book on the development of organ transplantation among the best. The reader did a good job bring the book to life.

Wish the publisher had used a different reader! But I enjoyed the book very much nonetheless,

Barbara Mertz makes Egyptology interesting and enjoyable to hear! I’ve read several books on the subject and found her knowledge of ancient Egypt to be consistent with other writers. Her sense of humor is superb!

Light reading with occasional chuckles! As much for its bad science as it’s humor. Plot twists add to the enjoyment!

Author stated that one rifle on a firing squad was loaded with a blank shoe each shooter might think he/she might not have fired a fatal bullet. This doesn’t work since the black firing rifle would not recoil. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction!

All humans should understand how genes work. First of all it is interesting. Second, and more important, is that this knowledge replaces myths and superstitions in a thinking brain.
Well written and read. Would no good if the book was difficult to understand!

Very enjoyable listen to boot!

I enjoyed this book, but not as much as other of Dr. Ehrman’s books.
He could have convinced me that a man named Jesus did exist at the time and place he said in a pamphlet.

Partially enjoy able and partially tedious!

Does not always match the history I’ve learned. A more appropriate title: Author’s Rage! Just had finished “The New Jim Crow” when I started this book which I liked. Not this one!
