Lady Aline Marsden was brought up for one reason: to make an advantageous marriage to a member of her own class. Instead, she willingly gave her innocence to John McKenna, a servant on her father’s estate. Their passionate transgression was unforgivable - John was sent away, and Aline was left to live in the countryside - an exile from London society - and he took her love. Most debutantes dream of finding husbands. Lady Pandora Ravenel has different plans. The ambitious young beauty would much rather stay at home and plot out her new board game business than take part in the London Season. every book has been whimsical. though there are simularities in style they each have a flavor of there own.
strong women roles in a prominent male society keeps me wondering if it isn't women such as these and men who allow these women freedom from societies conventions that forged today more equality.

Lieutenant Diana Burke will not give up. Though her missing person case had gone stone cold, something about the disappearance of Kinley Chandler doesn't make sense. But the last place the detective expects to find her is the highlands of medieval Scotland. Bodyguard Tharaen Aber needs another security complication like he needs the plague. But the ingenious lass he catches sneaking around Dun Aran castle couldn't be more opposite. As skilled a tracker as he's ever seen, she lends her aid at every opportunity, but the complications she brings to his heart aren't nearly as easily solved.
