Story
Half a century after the Doomsday Battle, the uneasy balance of Dark Forest Deterrence keeps the Trisolaran invaders at bay. Earth enjoys unprecedented prosperity due to the infusion of Trisolaran knowledge. With human science advancing daily and the Trisolarans adopting Earth culture, it seems that the two civilizations will soon be able to coexist peacefully as equals, without the terrible threat of mutually assured annihilation. But the peace has also made humanity complacent.

Derivative and juvenile

Would you try another book from Kel Kade and/or Nick Podehl?
Podehl is among the best narrators out there and was the reason I gave this book a listen. I have no intention of continuing with this series, or seeking out other books by Kade.
What could Kel Kade have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
The main character, Rezkin, is a teenage boy's daydream. An omni-skilled master-of-everything, "balanced" by the usual flaw of astonishingly poor social knowledge and awareness. Such characters are only interesting when the reader is unaware of how bland they are, so the book really should have been written from the perspective of another character.
Have you listened to any of Nick Podehl’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Nick Podehl is as good here as he ever is, given what he had to work with compared to other books he's performed.

Story
Richard Dawkins' brilliant reformulation of the theory of natural selection has the rare distinction of having provoked as much excitement and interest outside the scientific community as within it. His theories have helped change the whole nature of the study of social biology, and have forced thousands to rethink their beliefs about life.

Fantastic production
Reviewed: 06-13-15
Every Dawkins audiobook I've listened to has been exceptionally well produced and this is no exception. He takes the time to rearrange and add to the text to better fit the audio format, make it comparatively easy to follow, and include additional updates. The book itself is an absolute must listen for anyone with even a passing interest in the history of life on our planet.

Story
This is a tale of sorrow, a tale of survival, a tale of one man's search for meaning in his universe, and how that search, and the indomitable will that drove it, gave birth to a legend.

I will absolutely be listening to this book again. The voice of the reader threw me of at first, but as I continued listening it became quickly apparent that he was a very good choice of reader..
