Totally worth the wait. I adored reading this book when it first came out, but hearing Robert read it took it to another level.

I'm missing some context, I haven't listened to book 1 but even without I enjoyed the story. I'm glad I had the 3rd book on hand to finish and I'll most likely go back and read book 1 when I reread the series.

Only women have magic, and they drain men to do it. Lachlan wants magic and will stop at nothing to get it. I had a hard time with his character from the very beginning. but on the other hand I loved Jack. it was a dark, twisted tale and I was so sad for the main characters by the end. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book .

I'm only 3.5 hrs into the book and while I am fully engrossed in the story, I don't think I've ever wanted to shake some sense into a character like I currently do with Canyon. I know why he is like he is but gah I want to pull my hair out.

I'll update again when I finish

I was sucked in from the very beginning. The first scene when Truman and Sam meet melted my heart and cry with laughter. I could see the bee suit in my head. I loved getting Truman's story and Sam was a teddy bear with scruff.

I loved the conclusion to Truman's trouble even if I did predict who done it about half way through.

June can't come fast enough I need more aster valley after that epilogue. Hot as Heller is going to laugh of loud amazing if that first confrontation is anything to go by.

Alice Winters does it again. I knew I was going to love Karson's story from the moment we met him in book 1. Claude is the exact opposite of Marcus and he's perfect. Alexei and Claude are oil and vinegar and they go perfect together. Claude brings out Alexei's squishy side, and Alexei brings out claude's fangs and claws. I can never do my eyebrows the same again because I will forever laugh looking in the mirror. And fashion shows are forever changed. In fact that was probably my favorite scene in the entire book. How Alice Winters is able to bring so much comedy too serious matters is incredible.

Everything's not fun and games Alexei's past is coming back to haunt him and puts his entire life as he knows it at risk. But Claude and everyone at the VRC are watching his back.

Michael Ferraiuolo is fabulous as always. He brings these characters to life. I can't wait to listen to him narrate book 4.

I don't think I've ever found an author that can mix comedy sex and levity as well as Alice Winters. She brilliantly weaves a story of mage Miles and demon Havoc, all the sass, sarcasm and laughes I have come to expect from one of her stories. The supporting characters of other demons, humans and shifters brings such life to the book. The sex scenes are hot without being ovee the top.

but for all of Alice Winters books the characters are what completely take the show miles is kind of all over the place at times but his heart is always in the right place, havoc is my absolute favorite the sass and sarcasm he has and his love for chocolate speak to my soul.

this book is the first in a series and it does end with the story to be continued.. so it's a happily for now and I can't wait for the next book

I had to immediately start this after book 1, I had to know what Jackson remembered.

In this book Jackson and Fletcher are hiding out in middle of nowhere trying to write Jackson's story. Things aren't going to be as easy as they hoped. meddling ex boyfriends, crazy italian hitman, and finally having to confront these feelings that combust between them wherever they are in the same room or alone honestly.

There is more romance in this book than in book 1 but again it fits in with the story and character development.

I enjoyed the narrator a lot more in this book, especially anytime he was narrating Fletcher.
