Story
Now that her memory has been restored, Astrid knows exactly who she is. She is Princess Astrid of Oceali - no longer the Silent Princess. Her mother died, years ago, helping Astrid escape a life of misery in a facility. Her mother died because of her sister, Princess Vega. Astrid also knows exactly where she is. Not in her remarkable home on the Isle of the Never Mind, but she and her friends are being held captive in her old home, deep within the bowels of the palace.

I'm missing some context, I haven't listened to book 1 but even without I enjoyed the story. I'm glad I had the 3rd book on hand to finish and I'll most likely go back and read book 1 when I reread the series.

Imagine a world where a man's life force is the battery for a woman's magic. Anointed by Blood is a twisted love story about teenage witch Neave, cursed—like all her kind—to suck the life from her true love, Lachlan. He will live, but their Bind is a cancer, depriving him of the life only women can enjoy. Oppressed, broken, bitter—Lachlan’s on the lowest rung of the Order of Witches and he’s going to burn it all down. The price of revolution: his heart, his sanity, and Neave’s life. He’s prepared to pay it.

I loved the take on magic
Reviewed: 10-28-22
Only women have magic, and they drain men to do it. Lachlan wants magic and will stop at nothing to get it. I had a hard time with his character from the very beginning. but on the other hand I loved Jack. it was a dark, twisted tale and I was so sad for the main characters by the end. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book .

The hatred began when my father proposed to another man in a shocking moment that rocked my family to its core. Now I’m on a quest for revenge against my father. That means hitting him where it hurts - the new fiancé and the son he thinks so much of. Alister Sommers. A bleached-blond perfectionist thorn in my side, who’s used to everything going his way. Grades, money, track - he dominates it all despite his short, insignificant frame. Was one dad not good enough that Alis had to take mine, too? Soon, we’ll be stepbrothers. Story
When I rode my bike into Aster Valley, it was supposed to be temporary. A quick, relaxing visit with friends. No entanglements. Zero drama. But then I saw the bumblebee being harassed on the side of the highway. More specifically, I saw Truman Sweet, Aster Valley’s resident botanist, spice merchant, and bee-costume enthusiast, being harassed.

I was sucked in from the very beginning. The first scene when Truman and Sam meet melted my heart and cry with laughter. I could see the bee suit in my head. I loved getting Truman's story and Sam was a teddy bear with scruff.
I loved the conclusion to Truman's trouble even if I did predict who done it about half way through.
June can't come fast enough I need more aster valley after that epilogue. Hot as Heller is going to laugh of loud amazing if that first confrontation is anything to go by.

Story
When Marcus Church brings his brother Claude in to help solve an unusual murder, I’m positive he did it just to disrupt my monotonous life. None of my coworkers in the Vampire Related Crimes unit seem to understand that I want to keep a wall between me and everyone else - especially Claude, who does everything he can to break through it with an annoying smile. After more vampires begin to die, Claude pinpoints the actions of the killers to a group of vampire hunters, leaving us in a race to stop them.

Gold just pure gold

Alice Winters does it again. I knew I was going to love Karson's story from the moment we met him in book 1. Claude is the exact opposite of Marcus and he's perfect. Alexei and Claude are oil and vinegar and they go perfect together. Claude brings out Alexei's squishy side, and Alexei brings out claude's fangs and claws. I can never do my eyebrows the same again because I will forever laugh looking in the mirror. And fashion shows are forever changed. In fact that was probably my favorite scene in the entire book. How Alice Winters is able to bring so much comedy too serious matters is incredible.
Everything's not fun and games Alexei's past is coming back to haunt him and puts his entire life as he knows it at risk. But Claude and everyone at the VRC are watching his back.
Michael Ferraiuolo is fabulous as always. He brings these characters to life. I can't wait to listen to him narrate book 4.

Story
Smart men never dabble with demons. I never claimed to be smart, but at least, I’m powerful enough to control them. When I bound Havoc to me nearly 300 years ago, I never realized how difficult he’d make my life, although “accidentally lighting him on fire every now and then does bring a smile to my face. Havoc is handsome, mysterious, and somehow, my closest companion, even if we don’t always get along.

Alice Winters does it again
Reviewed: 12-29-20
I don't think I've ever found an author that can mix comedy sex and levity as well as Alice Winters. She brilliantly weaves a story of mage Miles and demon Havoc, all the sass, sarcasm and laughes I have come to expect from one of her stories. The supporting characters of other demons, humans and shifters brings such life to the book. The sex scenes are hot without being ovee the top.
but for all of Alice Winters books the characters are what completely take the show miles is kind of all over the place at times but his heart is always in the right place, havoc is my absolute favorite the sass and sarcasm he has and his love for chocolate speak to my soul.
this book is the first in a series and it does end with the story to be continued.. so it's a happily for now and I can't wait for the next book

I had to immediately start this after book 1, I had to know what Jackson remembered.
In this book Jackson and Fletcher are hiding out in middle of nowhere trying to write Jackson's story. Things aren't going to be as easy as they hoped. meddling ex boyfriends, crazy italian hitman, and finally having to confront these feelings that combust between them wherever they are in the same room or alone honestly.
There is more romance in this book than in book 1 but again it fits in with the story and character development.
I enjoyed the narrator a lot more in this book, especially anytime he was narrating Fletcher.
