Story
In a world full of super powers, Felix has a pretty crappy one. He has the ability to modify any item he owns. To upgrade anything. Sounds great on paper. Almost like a video game. Except that the amount of power it takes to actually change, modify, or upgrade anything worthwhile is beyond his abilities. With that in mind, Felix settled into a normal life. A normal job. His entire world changes when the city he lives in is taken over by a super villain. Becoming a country of one city. A city state.

Not What I Expected!

Every now and then I run across a book that I have no interest in reading but for some reason do and the book completely incapsulates me. The title of this book just sounded to silly to me but it was such a great read and kept me entertained. The book was definitely worth the credit spent!

Story
John Perry did two things on his 75th birthday. First he visited his wife's grave. Then he joined the army. The good news is that humanity finally made it into interstellar space. The bad news is that planets fit to live on are scarce—and alien races willing to fight us for them are common. So: we fight. To defend Earth, and to stake our own claim to planetary real estate. Far from Earth, the war has been going on for decades: brutal, bloody, unyielding. Earth itself is a backwater.

Have you listened to any of Luke Daniels’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Luke Daniels is currently my favorite Narrator. He is easy to listen to and always does a awesome job. He's really good at voices.
Any additional comments?
This is Book 2 of Terms of Enlistment. If you enjoyed book 1 you will enjoy this one as well. I'm usually not into space adventure books,"NOT A STAR WARS FAN" but, I really enjoy this series and really want Marko the author to hurry up and put out another book to the series.

Story
The year is 2108, and the North American Commonwealth is bursting at the seams. For welfare rats like Andrew Grayson, there are only two ways out of the crime-ridden and filthy welfare tenements: You can hope to win the lottery and draw a ticket on a colony ship settling off-world...or you can join the service. With the colony lottery a pipe dream, Andrew chooses to enlist in the armed forces for a shot at real food, a retirement bonus, and maybe a ticket off Earth.

I love the narrator. I have listened to numerous books he has narrated and he never disappoints. The story is about a young man that lives on earth and the planet is defiantly not the world we know it to be. Well, the young man enlist in the military hoping to get into the navy and get off the destructive planet. This book takes off a little slow but by the end of it you will defiantly want more.

Story
There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

Thank you Ernest Cline and Will Wheaton. I haven't picked up a book in over a decade and when I did its only because I had to because of some school requirements. But, a co-worker recommended that I listen to this book and it changed my life. It opened up a whole new world for me. This book was magical for me. Since listening to this book a year ago. I have just finished listening to my 21st book. Thats right the guy who hated to read and had not picked up a book in over 10 years listened to and read 21 books in one year. Its all because this was my first Audible book. If I would of listen to any other book first. I would not be sitten here writing this. It's like a high that I keep chasing. I keep listening to books trying to get the feeling that this one gave me. So, take my advice. If you grew up in the 80's its a must read. YOUR WELCOME

I don't know why I got this book but I'm glad I did. I never got a book with a women narrator but she nailed it. I'm not really into the zombie books but this one is different, you will see. Plus I'm from Texas and I only live a hour from Louisiana. So the southern accent the narrator has made it comforting and easy to listen to.
