Fantastic Book, Solid Narrator

Another great entry in the Dune series. The only thing that could elevate this book further would be a cast of voice actors and more audio work (i.e, effects, subtle ambient sounds) -- which you see in some of the re-releases of the Dune books. But this books stands excellent as it is as well.

The narrator from the first book should have been used a second time. Unfortunately the reading of this second novel in the set is very difficult to get through. However the compelling story is incredible to listen to regardless of who speaks it.

The Body Keeps the Score ties together decades worth of trauma research, interventions, and insights into a coherent narrative that is both compelling and enlightening to hear. This is my second time purchasing the book as I have previously read the hardcover version. The audiobook is a good refresher on the key concepts and nuances that you might have missed during a standard read through. I highly recommend it for practitioners who work with trauma affected clients.

The only aspect that hampers this audiobook is the voice presenter who does not capture the essence of Carl or present his words in a manner that captures the spirit of the work.
