Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Jim seems to want his kids to thrive in the future, and the steps he is taking to immerse them in other cultures will likely pay off. He is able to do things to expose his kids to other cultures that would be very difficult for the average American. It would be hard to move to a Chinese speaking country for someone who did not have the resources or job skills to find a job there. Still, he does have a good point in that you should prepare your kids for a more international worldview.

What would have made The Tao of Pooh better?

I like philosophy, and the subject matter appeals to me. I may try to give it another listen, but I just could not absorb the messages the first time through. I had the feeling it was very pithy stuff, but I just couldn't seem to get into it. It did seem to get a bit better toward the end.

Would you listen to Me Doing Stand-Up again? Why?

I liked this audio. It was short, as most comedy routines are. The funniest thing about it for me was Norm's delivery. He seems to have the voice to make his material sound funny and the comedic timing is always one of his strengths.

Would you listen to The Myths of Happiness again? Why?

This is a very practical discussion of what gives you the best bang for the buck as far as being happy. I liked the previous book by this author too.I think the things she recommends are true. It's very hard to internalize all her advice, but that's true with any book that tries to get you to see things in a new way. Happiness takes a fair amount of work and requires you to give up some long held beliefs about what makes you happy. I hope she continues to write and hone her advice.

Would you listen to Hilarious again? Why?

This was a very funny program. Like other reviewers said, it seemed very short - mainly because it was funny and I wanted to hear more. Overall, a good way to get a few laughs on the drive.

What did you love best about Naked Statistics?

He did a great job making a very complex subject understandable in audio format. I did have to go back to a couple of topics and listen again, but that is just the nature of the subject. I think I did learn a few new things.
