Virtual voice was a mistake

I am using this written book in a study group. I thought the audio version would allow me review a chapter or two while I was driving. The digital voice was like fingernails on a chalkboard. Not the quality of the voice, but the fact that the program was not even taught basic genealogical terms and pronunciations. Good lesson - a digital voice should not be used for anything technical. I would have rated the performance a 0 if I could have.

I would also say inspiring, but how did one person accomplish so much! It was long, but so worth it. Perkins looked around and tackled problems head on. The author’s style drew me in and kept me going!

Not as engaging as her previous works

The story did not flow as well as her past books in this series. Couldn't buy into Gabe letting Willy control his life so much. Didn't fit with the character development of Gabe in previous stories. Also, some inconsistencies from book to book. In previous book, Lady Stanhope visits right after Gabe’s stabbing. In this book she is buying into Gabe can heal himself, and it appears she is not aware of Gabe’s stabbing. Other little inconsistencies. Needs better editing.

Awful story! Poor writing style, especially Verty character. Can’t identify one reason to read this book! Don’t believe it should get even one star.

Story
The hardscrabble folks of Troublesome Creek have to scrap for everything - everything except books, that is. Thanks to Roosevelt's Kentucky Pack Horse Library Project, Troublesome's got its very own traveling librarian, Cussy Mary Carter. Cussy's not only a book woman, however, she's also the last of her kind, her skin a shade of blue unlike most anyone else. Not everyone is keen on Cussy's family or the Library Project, and a Blue is often blamed for any whiff of trouble.

I was standing at the bar and waiting for a friend when it happened. When my life changed forever. She strutted inside with her head held high with grace, not pretentiousness. With legs that reached her neck, and an hourglass frame perfect for gripping, she got me hard instantly. And those green eyes got the rest of my body hard too.
