I listen to many a true crime podcast but this one hits every note just right. Love how it is thoughtfully presented and the research is top notch. Her case selection is my favorite part of the podcast.

Great story, narrator mispronounces Joran's name
Reviewed: 07-03-22
Great story and learned new details from the book I hadn't heard anywhere else. My only issue is the narrator mispronounces Joran Van der Sloots last name wrong & as much as you hear it through out the book it gets annoying.

Story
The year 2020 was going to be the best year of Stassi’s life. Besides getting engaged and feeling like she was on top of the world career-wise, she bought her first house and was planning her dream Italian wedding. The future showed so much freaking promise—until it all went to hell. Stassi may not be perfect—she may have made some (major) mistakes—but she does feel like she has some insight (and plenty of hilarious tales) about getting knocked up, called out, and learning from what went wrong.

She's baack!

Have been a fan since the beginning , never truly cancelled her but honestly thought she could use some perspective as she got progressively harder to defend. This book and her reading it to you is just the Stassi we never knew we needed. She's still snarky and witty but now she is thinking before she speaks and she is clearly putting a lot more effort into growing and learning. I appreciated the honesty and her ability to be self deprecating and vulnerable to the reader. I look forward to more in the future from the new and improved Stassi.

Story
You’ve read the headlines, but you don’t know Jamie Lynn Spears. The world first met Jamie Lynn as a child star, when it was her job to perform, both on set and for the press. She spent years escaping into different characters—on All That, Zoey 101, and even in the role as Britney’s kid sister. But as she grew up, faced a teen pregnancy, raised her daughter on her own, pursued a career, and learned to stand on her own two feet, the real Jamie Lynn started to take center stage - a raw, blemished, and imperfect woman, standing in her own power.

Love this true crime story she hearing all the details was wonderful. The narrator was truly one of the best I've heard. He could switch dialects and accents as if it were different actors reading the parts. Made for a great storytelling experience.

First celebrated for her voice, she became one of the most talked-about women in the world, whether for music and fashion, her relationship struggles, or as a walking blonde joke. But now, instead of being talked about, Jessica is doing the talking. Her audiobook shares the wisdom and inspirations she’s learned and shows the real woman behind all the pop-culture clichés. Open Book is an opportunity to laugh and cry with a close friend, one that will inspire you to live your best, most authentic life, now that she is finally living hers.

Brave , Brutally honest & Inspirational

Jessica lets it all hangout , you get juicy details but she also sheds light on the brutal world of celebrity. Her life story is inspirational & she really goes to dark places but the overwhelming theme is one of self discovery & growth. I laughed , I cried & finished the book in one day. She is brutally honest & so relatable . She has a bright light & spirit that really comes through in her narration.
