Taking control
Reviewed: 07-19-22
Affirmations, "self-talk", are a part of the discipline of what I call emotional self-control ©. Our minds absorb information 24/7 that may not be helpful. It might create vulnerabilities that influence our trajectory in unsatisfying ways. Through awareness and disciplined use of affirmative inner dialogue, we can take advantage of our mind's capacity to shape outcomes and experiences. Like walking, running, or riding a bicycle; using affirmations is a necessary skill. The real climate change initiative needed in our information age is the one that we can control in the mind. We need to find real life within our being, before we can recognize, let alone understand, life in a place beyond ourselves. Maximize and affirm your life, build vitality, increase resilience and stamina, and enjoy the art of creative living using this simple but effective method of self-control. Well-being is accessible in increasing measure as you practice and perfect affirmative thinking and ESC.

Story
For a long time, I found myself possessing the majority of those traits. I thought, "This is just who I am. I can't change that." Wrong. So Wrong. Most of these traits were handed to me, and probably you too, without request. With the way our society is organized (media, school, parents, etc.), these character traits proliferate. However, it wasn't until I started Un-Learning, that I truly became the well-rounded confident man I am today. Free and fulfilled in ways you can't currently imagine.

Masculinity nailed!
Reviewed: 08-13-21
Authentic masculinity is never toxic! it's not squeamish and finds it's counterpart in authentic femininity. They both authenticate and enable growth into power fulness. This is a good template for "Alpha" male ethos. Being authentic, making individual meaning on purpose, integrated, concentrated and even consecrated are components of masculine health, wholeness, and well-being. Women could benefit from reading this book. They can take comfort in that the Cromagnon image of maleness is shattered in these pages.

There is simply no value put on words. Words, however, are the reason that one person lives a life of abundance while another person lives a life of lack. In this book, I want to share with you the correct way to harness the power of your words, so instead of holding you back, they propel you towards the life that you desire - the life that you were destined to live.

July 2021: This is a must read book for believers.
Reviewed: 07-14-21
Non-believers will also benefit from this short edifying book. Worldwide, we are careless with words and largely ignorant to the effect and power they have over what we experience. As an American, I watch leaders, influencers, and all manner of people daily destroy with words and then lament in fear the destruction they experience. We have protected free speech and we can put it to so much better use. All we have to do is pay attention. Banned & politically correct speech is not the answer, intentionally direct, open, edifying, and constructive speech is! On all levels the manifestation of our words is an inside job. We are all in need of a conversation with ourselves and our Creator on this topic of human communication. It will change character, repair the root system of community, and produce good fruit from the tree of life rather than the rotted fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Praise for Rev. Martin's hearts desire to "get the word out". Audible is the perfect venue for this excellent work.

Story
Congressman Ken Buck (R-CO) is blowing the whistle on the real-life House of Cards going on behind the scenes in our nation's capital. Elected in 2014 as president of one of the largest Republican freshman classes ever to enter Congress, Buck quickly realized why nothing gets done in Congress, and it isn't because of political gridlock - in fact, Republicans and Democrats work together all too well to fleece taxpayers and plunge America deeper into debt.

Draining the swamp
Reviewed: 10-06-20
Loved the book. It really gets going after about 4 chapters and completes with a robust conclusion that draining the massive government swamp and displacing it well-fed flora and fauna is neither the sole responsibility of a President nor is it at all likely that the creatures who flourish in its stagnant ways would themselves drain it and replace it with the garden of federalism intended to be bestowed on America's s citizens by the Constitution's framers in 1787. According to the Declaration of Independence that is the foundation of American government and rule of law by the Constitution; it is the right (and duty) of the American people to endure they have a government that is of, for, and crafted by them rather than the machinations of unelected bureaucrats, official appointees, or self-interested, career-obsessed elected representation. There is an answer to the big government burden. As in the years leading up to the founding of our nation, conceived in individual liberty, it is up to the people to dedicate themselves and act in the interest of perfecting the belief in the promise of the American constitutional republic. We the people must move beyond the political games and division that populate and expand the swampy self-absorbed bureaucracy the federal government (and even state and local ones) have become. We can choose inaction and the status quo of the toxic swamp or act for real climate change where it is needed, by cleaning up what has spewed into the nation for decades from the American government. This book proposes a few things to consider in order to leave future generations with a beautiful and healthy garden to tend rather than being bogged down and consumed in a smelly toxic government swamp that leverages the destiny of we the people and our hope of liberty as a means by which to sustain itself while blatantly disregarding the hope of 1776 and the promises of 1787.
