Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

This guy never misses.
Out on the edge of failure, there is salvation and not always in the manner the reader expects.
Incrementally enthralling, these stories will draw you in always rooting for the underdog not to fail.
Well realized. Very few if any holes in the narrative.
And salvation where least expected.

Story
Gregory Norwood is Minnesota's most beloved philanthropist, and the story of his son's overdose was splashed across the front page of all the papers. When a photojournalist sets out to get a candid shot of the highly successful businessman on the one-year anniversary of his son's death, he's shocked to find Norwood dead with a smoking gun in his hand. The city is devastated, and Minneapolis detectives Leo Magozzi and Gino Rolseth are called in to handle the delicate case. It should be open and shut, but something is not right. Norwood's death is no suicide.

Poor narrator
Reviewed: 10-01-18
Someone should have spent some time coaching this narrator on vocabulary and pronunciation as used in this novel.
The mispronunciation of common computer terms is irksome and easily avoidable with editorial review.
Was this a matter of push to publish? No review? Whatever, it is not up to Monkeewrench par.

A mysterious structure is found buried beneath the Antarctic ice. Undiscovered for decades...it should have remained that way. A team of climatologists are sent on a routine expedition to Antarctica to investigate a rapidly melting glacier, where they make a startling discovery. In Europe, a secret Nazi document surfaces which points to a historical government secret, and which appears connected to events unfolding in Antarctica. Robert Spire, tasked to hunt for the secret document, soon becomes the hunted, as he is chased across Europe.

Breathless story. Sadly Breathless Reader.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
The story was entertaining and worthwhile. However, the reader was subpar and detracted from the story.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Fluid action and intensity. Just that reader . . . rrrrrrrrrkk.
Would you be willing to try another one of David Loving’s performances?
yes
Did Melt Zone inspire you to do anything?
Nope. Just be entertained.

Story
Let me ask you three questions. Was Lincoln really our first black President? Lincoln invariably described himself as having "a very dark complexion". Most photographs were lightened. Was Lincoln killed by a lone assassin? His top generals were this close to toppling Lincoln and making General McClelland President. Was Lincoln a true believer? He prayed for divine guidance to issue the Emancipation Proclamation.

A Totally Different Apprach to Abraham Lincoln
Reviewed: 05-31-16
Would you consider the audio edition of Rise, The Trilogy (Pt. 1) to be better than the print version?
Haven't seen the print version, so cannot judge.
What does Marcus Green and Ben Bagby bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
They breathe life into the characters and narrative.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
This production held my attention very well. It injected emotion and appeal that print alone cannot generally convey.
Any additional comments?
Looking forward to see what these gentlemen can do with the pending editions.
