The Forerunner has decimated the Vanguard Islands in a surprise attack from the Trident warship. King Kade Long—seeing no alternative—accepts a peace deal, committing to a perilous mission with X, the “Immortal,” to activate weather-modification reactors at the poles. But as Kade and X set off, the fragile peace is threatened by Gran Jefe’s one-man guerrilla war against the psychopathic knight, General Jack. Meanwhile, halfway across the world, Michael and his family begin to settle into their new life in the Canary Islands, only to discover that it’s not the sanctuary they believed it was.

Story
Wolf of the North: It has been generations since the Northlands have seen a hero worthy of the title. Many have made the claim, but few have lived to defend it. Timid, weak, and bullied, Wulfric is as unlikely a candidate as there could be. Jorundyr's Path: Jorundyr's Path is walked only by the brave. As Wulfric pursues Adalhaid's Blood Debt, he soon learns that the path to revenge is never easy. The Blood Debt: A blade fit for a hero. An army for a tyrant. A reckoning long awaited, and a tale reaching its end.

Fine story that poorly written
Reviewed: 02-02-23
At the core the story is fine, but if you have knowledge with firearms or survival it’s deplorable to listen to. When the author describes firearms as pistol, heater, protection shotgun, it takes away from the story for me. Makes me assume that the author has very little knowledge on firearms and was unwilling to conduct research. I would not recommend these books to anyone.

Great start but cliff hanger ending
Reviewed: 11-18-21
Great start to the series but it’s aggravating that you get first 3 books then you have to get the rest as individual purchases. Narrator did a good job till there where multiple characters talking at one time then became hard to understand which one was talking.
