Story
The Galactic Consensus arrived on ships as large as skyscrapers, crafted from glittering alloys that no human scientist could even begin to understand. They followed the trail of century old television transmissions to welcome us into the galactic community… only to recoil in horror at what they found.

I'm really starting to like this author. his books are fun and peppy. the third book in this series doesn't actually start until chapter 28 or thirty. I had to reread them because I missed some good scenes.
TLDR: they are fun.

Story
When it comes to action and adventure, every hero needs a good sidekick. Holmes has Watson, Batman has Robin, and Daniel has . . . Orrin. More like brothers than friends, they always have each other's backs. And as Daniel is the big, strong, handsome type, Orrin is more than happy to remain in his shadow at school, at parties, pretty much everywhere. Then things take a turn for the truly weird when a terrible accident catapults the pair into a world totally unlike their own, in which the rules of a role-playing game hold sway.

I think this is one of my go to feel good stories. there are probably more plot holes that chapters and the Spell Enphasis is ridiculous. Orrin is the biggest cry baby and Dumbthar the barbarian is was to privileged and entitled. But they are fun. like two bothers who openly hate each other but would never admit it.

Story
Silas is growing into the responsibilities weighing him down. Earth is struggling, but there is hope. The deals that Silas has made have brought resources and trainers to Earth. He's helped some leaders gain an understanding of what they will face. His team has continued to grow but now he finds himself facing the greatest challenge to any Forerunner, the Wild Hunt. He'll be hunted but also have to hunt other Forerunners while forging a shaky alliance with those he can't trust. Even more disturbing, it seems like there might be more than one system to choose from.

Story
Silas is inducted into the System, becoming the last in a long line of Earth's "forerunners." The rewards are great, but the danger is greater. We are not alone in the universe. The fate of five worlds hangs on how their forerunners perform. Will Silas have what it takes to win Earth a place in the multiverse? Or will Earth become another mining world stripped of all resources and left a barren husk floating in the cosmos?

one of the worst books Brandon Sanderson has ever written. there is zero foreshadowing. unrealistic plot twists. terrible us of plot armor. poor connection to characters or just plain awful character. Worse the reader (not voice actors) Michael Kramer is not someone I wish to listen to for 60hrs plus. what a sad way to end a great series.

first, to the voice actor. inserting food sounds is just as gross in audio as it is in 4k. consider not doing it. additionally, if you know your female voices are not believable consider hiring out the work. just get an No Compete Agreement.
to the writer, does book 4 have a PLOT or story line? Don't let your editor force you to add in filler without reason. we don't need a description of his mother's cooking to know you lost your story line.
