Story
In the early 2000s, after years of hard work and determination to breakthrough as an actor, Bethany Joy Lenz was finally cast as one of the leads on the hit drama One Tree Hill. Her career was about to take off, but her personal life was slowly beginning to unravel. What none of the show’s millions of fans knew, hidden even from her costars, was her secret double life in a cult. An only child who always wanted a place to belong, Lenz found the safe haven she’d been searching for in a Bible study group with other Hollywood creatives. However, the group soon morphed into something more sinister.

This book was sooooooo good! I laughed and cried while listening. I love that the author read it herself; she did an excellent job! The further in it went, the better it got. We'll done, Bethany!

I really enjoyed this book. Good information for couples and life in general. Very inspiring. I had to speed it up one notch because the reading was just a tiny bit too slow for my taste. There was profanity, which I'm not a fan of, but not so much that I wanted to stop and return the book.

Story
Just as I Am is my truth. It is me, plain and unvarnished, with the glitter and garland set aside. Here, I am indeed Cicely, the actress who has been blessed to grace the stage and screen for six decades. Yet I am also the church girl who once rarely spoke a word. I am the teenager who sought solace in the verses of the old hymn for which this book is named. I am a daughter and mother, a sister, and a friend. I am an observer of human nature and the dreamer of audacious dreams.

Story
Kenan Thompson is Saturday Night Live’s longest-ever-serving cast member and a star of such pioneering sketches as “Black Jeopardy” and is hugely beloved thanks to a tidal wave of nostalgic fans who grew up on early 2000s classics All That, Good Burger, and Kenan & Kel on Nickelodeon. He’s also a dad (to two girls) in his mid-40s living in suburbia, and whose universal, relatable, family-friendly humor has created unbelievable appeal and engagement from fans from middle America to coastal elites. Becoming a dad sucked the cool right out of him—and he's OK with that!

I really enjoyed listening to this book! His delivery was wonderful and I enjoyed the stories so much. The only things that I did not like were the potty mouth language, of which there wasn't a lot, and the comment he made about something in the Bible that he did not believe was true.

Story
Let Love Rule is a work of deep reflection. Lenny Kravitz looks back at his life with candor, self-scrutiny, and humor. Let Love Rule covers a vast canvas stretching from Manhattan’s Upper East Side, Brooklyn’s Bedford-Stuyvesant, Los Angeles’ Baldwin Hills, Beverly Hills, and finally to France, England, and Germany. It’s the story of a wildly creative kid who, despite tough struggles at school and extreme tension at home, finds salvation in music. We see him grow as a musician and ultimately a master songwriter, producer, and performer.

I soooooo enjoyed this book; and getting to hear Lenny read it made it so special. It felt like spending one on one time with him in a comfortable, dimly lit room. I learned so much about him and those who supported him on his way to becoming Lenny Kravitz the artist. My only problem with this book is that there isn't more of it.
