Story
I'm Arwyn Cassandra Corey, the Sea Wicche of Monterey. Want a psychic reading? I can do that. In the market for art? I have all your painting, photography, glass blowing, and ceramic needs covered in my art gallery. Need help solving a grisly cold case? Unfortunately, I can probably help with that too. After more than a decade of being nagged, guilted, and threatened, I've finally joined the Corey Council and am working with my mother and grandmother to hunt down a twisted sorcerer. The evil the sorcerer and her demon are doing is seeping into the community.

Story
I'm Arwyn Cassandra Corey, the sea wicche, or the wicche who lives by the sea. It requires a lot more work than I'd anticipated to remodel an abandoned cannery and turn it into an art gallery & tea bar. It's coming along, though, especially with the help of a new werewolf who's joined the construction crew. He does beautiful work. His sexy, growly, bearded presence is very hard to ignore, but I'm trying. I'm not sure how such a laid-back guy got the local Alpha and his pack threatening to hunt him down and tear him apart, but we all have our secrets.

He’s a cutthroat hotel tycoon, now a major shareholder in my hotel. And guess what? He’s convinced he can charm me out of the rest.

I think my expectations were too high
Reviewed: 07-06-24
The first book is one of my all time favourites and I honestly wish they’d stuck with the same narrators. This new male narrator was a little difficult to listen to at times, I think trying to do an Irish accent ended up making the voice overly gravelly and growly.

Beware
Reviewed: 12-08-23
This book would’ve been great if it didn’t end on a huge cliffhanger, and then the story in volume 2 is replaced by one singular new male narrator who butchers the female parts to the point I couldn’t get past the second chapter. Worse is the kindle version isn’t even on kindle unlimited so I couldn’t just continue the story that the first book got me excited about without paying extra for it.

This was a really nice, lighthearted and funny story. The female narrator was amazing, but I did notice the male narrator seemed like he has some breathing problems. Every few words he’d really loudly gasp for air like he’d just been holding his breath underwater, and it did take me out of the story a bit. I’ve never noticed any other narrator do this to that extent. But overall I’m really excited for more audiobooks from this author
