Story
Everyone has wanted their favorite book to be real, if only for a moment. Everyone has wished to meet their favorite characters, if only for a day. But be careful in that wish, for even a history laid in ink can be repaid in flesh and blood, and reality is far deadlier than fiction...especially on Addington Isle.

I could not have expected how this book would go! It was so surprising—not like a mystery, but in the whole plot, characters, and tone. I love the author for his hilarious, relatable social media posts, but this made me love and admire him even more. He also does a great job of reading. Highly recommend!

This is the first time I’ve actually listened to the original story! So fun to hear Irving’s original language, especially read by such a gifted actor!

Story
Racist pseudoscience is on the rise - fueling hatred, feeding nationalism, and seeping into our discourse on everything from sports to intelligence. Even the well-intentioned repeat stereotypes based on "science", because cutting-edge genetics are hard to grasp - and all too easy to distort. Paradoxically, misconceptions are multiplying amid today's unprecedented surge of research on human genetics. We've never had a clearer picture of who we are and where we come from, and the science, when accurately understood, is a powerful and definitive ally against racism.

He’s such an interesting, detailed yet understandable, and most importantly, CREDIBLE writer. And he is EXCELLENT at reading his work. I think I’d listen to any of his books, as long as he’s reading.

Exclusively from Audible. 'It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.' So begins Charles Dickens' most famous historical drama: a gripping tale of war, social injustice and the choice between darkness and light. After being unjustly imprisoned for 18 years, French doctor Manette is released from the Bastille jail in Paris and embarks upon a journey to London in the hope of finding the daughter he never met.

Perfection

Simon Callow is the best narrator I’ve ever heard. He is utter PERFECTION. He wove this story from brightly colored threads that make what may seem like ‘old’ literature so vibrant and true. My favorite Dickens I’ve read (which I will say is limited.) I cried like a baby at the end, I found it so moving. Listen to this! So worth it!

Story
In Dinosaurs Rediscovered, leading paleontologist Michael J. Benton gathers together all the latest paleontological evidence, tracing the transformation of dinosaur study from its roots in antiquated natural history to an indisputably scientific field. Among other things, the book explores how dinosaur remains are found and excavated, and especially how paleontologists read the details of dinosaurs' lives from their fossils - their colors, their growth, and even whether we will ever be able to bring them back to life.

This was such an interesting book! I loved the questions that were posed and answered, the writing was wonderful—thorough, fun, and accessible—and the narrator was fantastic!! So engaging! A great listen for a dino-lover who might not be up to date on all the latest discoveries!
