Story
Tim Cornish thought he'd gotten away with murder. For months after he'd killed his lover off the Alaskan coast, there hadn't been a word. But then the letters started to arrive. It seems that someone knows what Tim has done.... This compelling thriller delivers such a dark picture of romantic love that murder seems its natural mate. Frightening, suspenseful, and deeply unsettling, No Night Is Too Long is a modern crime masterpiece and will be enjoyed by readers of P. D. James and Ian Rankin.

The narrator’s inauthentic British accent is so camp, arch, and smug that it makes everything meaningless. Diamond sounds like an effete academic rather than a gritty cop. Not even sure if the writing is good. Those useless

Yet despite their differences, the boys become steadfast companions. Their bond deepens as they grow into young men and become skilled in the arts of war and medicine—much to the displeasure and the fury of Achilles’ mother, Thetis, a cruel sea goddess with a hatred of mortals.

Story
The lead homicide investigator in a rural town, Detective Sergeant Gemma Woodstock is deeply unnerved when a high school classmate is found strangled, her body floating in a lake. And not just any classmate, but Rosalind Ryan, whose beauty and inscrutability exerted a magnetic pull on Smithson High School, first during Rosalind's student years and then again when she returned to teach drama. As much as Rosalind's life was a mystery to Gemma when they were students together, her death presents even more of a puzzle.

I love the twists and reveals and how the character of Riley grows in maturity and understanding from book to book.
But why the astonishing and jarring pronoun mistakes? Where, in the end, was the copy editor? Book after book. It’s not “for
her and I” or “with her and I.” For me, so for her and me. I propose reviewing the rule for prepositions!!!
