Story
Lila Kennedy has a lot on her plate. A broken marriage, two wayward daughters, a house that is falling apart, and an elderly stepfather who seems to have quietly moved in. Her career is in freefall and her love life is . . . complicated. So when her real dad—a man she has barely seen since he ran off to Hollywood thirty-five years ago—suddenly appears on her doorstep, it feels like the final straw. But it turns out even the family you thought you could never forgive might have something to teach you: about love, and what it actually means to be family.

A very good story to show mercy and Grace. We all need a reminder. It was great to see the continuation of the family legacy and see how each character evolves.

Story
Justin has a curse, and thanks to a Reddit thread, it's now all over the internet. Every woman he dates goes on to find their soul mate the second they break up. When a woman slides into his DMs with the same problem, they come up with a plan: They'll date each other and break up. Their curses will cancel each other’s out, and they’ll both go on to find the love of their lives. It’s a bonkers idea… and it just might work.

This book was tough at times. But so is life. The story telling pulls you into the story and to each character. It really gives you great insight on past trauma and how it affects your life and relationships. What a beautiful way to show how people come into your life for a reason.

What a great book. So insightful and inspiring. This was such a great look behind the scenes. It made me re-watch and re-listen to movies and music. The cherry on the cake was having Barbra narrate the book. She became a companion for me while I drove around town. Thank you for sharing your life with us.

Story
In 2022, Lisa Marie Presley asked her daughter to help finally finish her long-gestating memoir. A month later, Lisa Marie was dead, and the world would never know her story in her own words, never know the passionate, joyful, caring, and complicated woman that Riley loved and now grieved. Riley got the tapes that her mother had recorded for the book, lay in her bed, and listened as Lisa Marie told story after story about smashing golf carts together in the yards of Graceland, about the unconditional love she felt from her father, about being upstairs, just the two of them.

Heartbroken 💔

The rawness of the story was so heartbreaking. Hearing Lisa’s tapes was so penetrating and moving. But hearing Riley’s memories of what her Mom was saying really gave you a full picture of that moment. It gave you a better understanding of the complexity of Lisa Marie’s life. She was a person who’s heart was broken so many times but still loved her children fiercely. Thank you for sharing her story with us Riley.

You just never know what people go through in their lives to form who they are now. You can drawn in your childhood trauma or you can learn from it. Thank Sally Field for sharing your inter-most secrets and fears. I know that couldn’t have been easy for you. Your last phone call with your Mom pierced my heart. But it was a beautiful conversation. It made me think of my Mom who passed away a few years ago.
