We finally get Piper's story and it was everything I needed it to be! She has been such a wonderful character throughout the series. Her love story really couldn't have happened any other way. Great story, great humor, and excellent narration!

I don’t know why I waited so long to listen! A Very No Strings Halloween is everything it needed to be in order to be Billy’s story. Throughout the series, Billy has been larger than life with incredible adventures and the best shenanigans. From beginning to end he is his authentic self - even when naughty role-playing with the attractive neighbor. It took a special kind of woman to not only get his lasting attention, but to meet him head to head and bring out the very best in him. Donna is that woman! Their love story moves from “no strings” to ALL the strings before they know what hit them, and it is glorious! It’s fun, funny, mischievous, and wonderful with some surprising twists and turns. I smiled and giggled quite a bit, and genuinely enjoyed this audiobook!

Narration in duet by Connor Crais and Emma Wilder really is the icing on this cake. They are both amazing performers who bring their considerable talent to this project with a wide range of characters of all ages, backgrounds, and multiple difficult accents to let you get lost in the story. Excellent casting and performances of a wonderfully fun romantic comedy!

Love Me Reckless is book 2 in the series and I have been waiting for this one for Kirilee’s story. She lives a very small, very sheltered life and has little control, but you can just tell there is a powerful woman ready to take on the world! I just love her group of close friends. Her family is in trouble and thinks her marriage will fix everything. There is way too much pressure on her from all sides, though I do really like her brother and hope to see more of him. She is engaged to the absolutely wrong man and doomed to a loveless marriage and a small life. She is resolved to this fate, until Sawyer shows her what freedom can bring and wakes her up to possibilities. Their attraction is strong and the steam is thick, but they evolve together with him showing his cinnamon roll, adorable, smexy self while letting her find her strength. Kirilee is such a lovely and loveable character who is the perfect match for the wonderful side of Sawyer that has never really been exposed or fostered in this way. They are both sort of broken in different ways and the light shines in them once they let it! I really enjoyed Sawyer and Kirilee’s story and am excited for the next book in the series.

Robert Hatchet is a wonderfully talented performer who is already a favorite narrator. With every book he showcases his range to flow through characters and perfectly portray emotional depth and a powerful vocal range! Laura Horowitz is new to me with this series, so this is my second book and I’m definitely hooked! I have added her to my “Faveylist". Not only does she have a lovely voice, but her range carries you through the story with different characters and situations, matching Robert Hatchet to perform the story beautifully! I will definitely be listening to more of her work in the future. Great casting!!

Single All the Way is book 2 in the Single Dads of Dragonfly Lake series. This story has so much heart and so many wonderfully tender and steamy moments I was all in! Ben is the local vet and single dad with a heart of gold who had a crush on Emerson before she met and then later married his best friend, Blake. Both of them are raising children on their own following the death of their spouses, so when Emerson and her two children are in need of a temporary place to stay Ben has the perfect solution. Ben has a full house with his two children, some barn cats, horses, and the infamous cookie-loving llamas. The families really do fit together perfectly, like it was meant to be. I just love his support group and the people in this small town that stick together. Patrick Zeller and Stephanie Nemeth-Parker are fantastic! They bring all of the heart to each and every character with stellar performances. I finished and listened again to make sure I I didn’t miss something. This feel-good friends to lovers, forced proximity, small town, single mom/dad romance is just what the veterinarian ordered!

Guarded by the Nightmare is book 8 in The Monster Security Agency dark fantasy series with anti heroes you will not see coming and definitely not expect to invade your senses in a positive way. Sylas is a nightmare. He is smoke and danger and death, and I can’t imagine describing him any better than Cassie does in this excellent dark romantasy. Mina is not even a shadow of her former self after experiencing some truly horrific events. She is willing to sacrifice everything to make them pay and her strength and determination become her power. She hires a nightmare with eyes wide open, willing to honor his price and bent on seeing every single pathetic excuse for a human on her list get what they deserve. Sylas and Mina just fit in all the ways that would cut anyone else to ribbons. Cassie truly does an excellent job of weaving them together with steamy perfection and genuine heartfelt devotion for each other. This is a beautifully dark, silky, smoky, steamy romantic suspense with vengeance as the motivation that brings them together. It’s beautiful and terrible, and very well done!

Jonathan Lake is a new-to-me narrator, but I love his voice and his wonderful performance puts him firmly on my list of favorites. Avery Caris is another new-to-me narrator with a great performance in this book. They are both excellent at separating the different characters so you are really pulled into the story and swept up in the suspenseful darkness of this monster romance riddled in darkness!

The Romance Line is book 2 in the Love and Hockey series by Lauren Blakely. Once again, I am so happy to be lost in Lauren’s world! I can’t say enough about how wonderful it is when nobody’s perfect, but all of the characters are learning and trying. There is so much give and take, and she really brings all the feels with Everly’s character and what she has overcome. She is outwardly positive and upbeat, while silently dealing with some heavy loss in her past with personal apprehension and self doubt. Max wears grumpy like a suit of armor after being burned in the past by the press and the court of public opinion following a very public breakup with a famous singer. Now they are thrust together to give his image a makeover. They both have a lot at risk with a promotion for her and keeping his spot on the team and some endorsement opportunities to secure his future. What appears at first to be a grumpy/sunshine situation smoothly matures into something much more meaningful as they both learn to trust and let down their defenses. Their chemistry I off the charts, so when they come together we get all of the fireworks and steamy dirty talk, so buckle up because Max and Everly are HAWT stuff!

Teddy Hamilton and Vanessa Edwin bring this story to life in duet with wonderful performances and everything I love about audiobooks! Excellent casting with the perfect voices for these characters. It’s no surprise that the duet-style narration is a ideal fit for Lauren’s witty banter.

Love Me Dangerous is book 1 in the new series by Dakota Davies, who is a new author to me. Zach is on the run from trouble and trying to stay off the radar to protect those dear to him, but a good man shines through and Zach is absolutely a good man. He proves again and again why he is a hero with many layers. Sophie has a lot on her shoulders. She is learning to be strong. This story has some underlying mystery and suspense that is well done and lends itself to the developing relationship. Finn River is an interesting town and I like the other characters introduced and look forward to more books in the series.

Laura Horowitz is a new-to-me narrator with a lovely voice that is soothing. She does a great job of distinguishing different characters from children to adults. Her Dudevoice is great! As a narrator-motivated audiobook addict I look forward to more of her work. Robert Hatchet is one of my favorites and he does an excellent job with his performance of this complicated character. I really enjoyed this audiobook and look forward to more in the series!
