Hang in there… it’s worth it

Being a grown adult with a kid the title characters’ age I wasn’t sure what I signed on for with this story. Oh no, another Y.A. novel I accidentally downloaded. I was just going to wait it out and listen because that what I do, I finish what I start.
I am so happy that I stuck it out. There were moments that pulled hard at my heart strings and made me tear up. The ending is so well done in my humble opinion. I’m heartbroken but also more alive now than before I originally pressed play. This book is a reminder of living your life at the highest level. Be fearless and love hard.

I love Cindy’s candor and her ability to teach how Brookdale’s associates, clients and residents not only survived but thrived during the hardest months of the pandemic because of the leadership shown by those who are featured in this beautifully written account. I am so proud to call myself a Brookdale employee because I am part of a company that cares deeply, passionately and courageously. An incredible amount of information packed into a well written book that is easy to digest all at once or a chapter at a time.
The proof is in this book that you do not have to eat animals to compete as an athlete at any level.
I love hearing about what people from different backgrounds and sports fuel their body with before and after workouts and events.
