What is there to say that hasn’t been said before about the preceding three volumes? It’s a collective masterpiece, with each individual part able to stand on its own. This one is no different.

The narrative and book itself was fairly good. However, I would just like to say that the narrator mispronounced forte as fort twice. I wonder if these seemingly innocent mispronunciations that happen in these audiobooks are secret jokes with the producers and narrators. Everyone knows how to pronounce forte, especially if speaking is your job.

Excruciatingly long winded and arrogant. Didn’t enjoy a single second of this book despite the perfect narration

The male narrator was absolutely miscast, and I think it may have been to the detriment of the book. Highly disappointing.

There are an innumerable amount of adjectives to describe this book: somber, mysterious, sinister, heartwarming, and fantastical. However, the word that comes most prominent to me is CRISP. Each sentence of this narrative is immaculately crisp. The best audiobook I have listened to in a very long time. The narrator is perfect.

Just an all around bad audiobook. At first, I thought the narrator’s god awful accents and tone were making the book bad, but then the cringey, juvenile writing came through full force. Not only the writing and narration, but the story is just unfulfilling and vapid. Truly one of the worst all around audiobooks I have experienced.

Many people complain about Stefan as a narrator in reviews for this book, but the sonorous melody of his voice only improves Nabokov’s stylistic prose. He applies perfect intonations with Nabokov’s jokes and provides correct emphasis where emphasis is required. The book itself a solid, I think I prefer Nabokov’s erudite style in nonfiction form rather than fiction. It suits him immensely.

At first I thought the narrator’s pompous accent would ruin the book, but just the opposite. I think the book was written to be performed exactly by David Case. The book itself is quite funny, but his pompous accent is absolutely perfect, and he provides the novel with a Flashman that is true in both spirit and form. I enjoyed this one more than the first book, I think because of the narrator; whereas, I read the first one physically. Definitely recommended.

To be honest, fuck Nynaeve. She is pushing me away from this series every time she speaks.
