Story
My name is Alexis, though everyone calls me Lexie. I'm a Necromancer. I see the dead, talk to them, and help them move on. Well, I used to. Now, with the Veil closed, I'm the only way for a soul to cross over. It's wearing me out, and according to my doctor, it's going to kill me. I don't know how to tell the guys. I'm working on it, but there is so much going on right now; Isaac's acting strange, Ethan's worried that his brother isn't eating or sleeping, Asher's dad is back, and Tara is still snooping around my bedroom. My symptoms are getting worse, and we're running out of time.

I loved it
Reviewed: 03-07-24
The relationships are developing painfully slowly and they all need to work on their communication skills. This is the first reverse harem book that I've read where the guys aren't automatically okay with sharing the love interest, which feels much more realistic. I'm worried that they're all going to end up feeling betrayed by Lexie. She hasn't exactly lied to them but she hasn't been completely honest either. Even though I really wish that she romance would progress more, I am completely absorbed in this world and with these characters. They have all been through so much and I love the way they support each other. I really enjoyed getting more of the guys points of view throughout the book, instead of just at the end. Both narrators were awesome. I can't wait to listen to the next one.

This was amazing from start to finish. Anna and Eden make such a cute couple and their relationship was beautiful to watch unfold. I really liked both Anna and Eden and I loved how much Eden grew and how supportive Anna was with her. There were also some petty great steamy scenes between them! Highly recommend! The narrator was also stellar.

This book is pure magic! I can't express how much I loved it and how much it means to me. The narrator did an outstanding job pronouncing all of the words perfectly. This has become a new favorite and I couldn't recommend it more.

Priya worked hard to pursue her premed dreams at Stanford, but a diagnosis of chronic Lyme disease during her sophomore year sends her back to her loving but overbearing family in New Jersey. Thankfully she has her online pen pal, Brigid, and the rest of the members of “oof ouch my bones”, a virtual support group for chronic illnesses. When Brigid suddenly goes offline, Priya does something out of character: she steals the family car and drives to Pennsylvania to check on Brigid. Priya isn’t sure what to expect, but it isn’t the horrifying creature that's shut in the basement.

A nice blend of contemporary + paranormal
Reviewed: 09-02-23
I thought this book was a really unique mix of real life problems and fun paranormal adventures. It deals with serious issues revolving around chronic illness and pain, like emotional stability and all the different ways it can impact your life but the werewolf element adds humor and lightens the subject matter. The people in the online support group are all great. I love the way they helped each other, how caring they were and the discussions they had felt very realistic and familiar, coming from someone with chronic pain. I liked seeing the friendship grow between Priya and Brigid (and Spencer too). I do feel like Spencer and Priya,'s relationship should have developed past the friend stage. I definitely got a romantic vibe from them. This book is ultimately about learning how to deal with the major changes life throws at you and tying to accept your new reality and make the best out of your situation. The narrator did a fantastic job.

It’s officially booty o’clock, I’m alone again in my kitchen choking down a slice of terrible chocolate cake…and I’m pretty sure I just got drunk texted by the man I have a ginormous crush on. I’ve been daydreaming about Eliot Hoffman’s dimples for two months, and even though I’m sure this was a mistake on his end, it doesn’t mean it’s not an opportunity on mine. It’s the middle of the night, and I just wanna talk to him. So I text him back.

Story
Celeste Morton has eagerly awaited her passage to adulthood. Like every girl, she was born with a set of childhood markings - the freckles, moles, and birthmarks on her body that foretell her future and that of those around her - and with puberty will come a new set of predictions that will solidify her fate. The possibilities are tantalizing enough to outweigh her worry that the future she dreams of won’t be the one she’s fated to experience.

This book was amazing. I don't even have the words to describe it properly. It's both beautiful and heartbreaking but ultimately hopeful.. The world is inventive yet familiar at the same time. It's compelling and hard to put down. The sibling relationship is the heart of the story, at least in part and was complex and genuine. This is a story that should not be missed and will stay with you. Erin Spencer did an excellent job and I definitely recommend listening to this.

This was such an amazing book. I'm shocked that more people aren't raving about this. I just finished it and already I can't wait to read it again. If you like fierce, tough as nails warrior girls, witty sarcastic banter, an adorably cute couple, and deep sisterly bonds, then you should definitely read this. Plus, Irish mythology and a raven named Poe. The narrator was perfect! I really can't wait for the second book. I still have so many questions.

Paint your toes. Pick up the wrong coffee and bagel order. Drive from Brooklyn to Jersey in traffic so slow you want to tear your hair out. It’s amazing all the useless things I can accomplish while on hold for three hours with customer service. Three hours when I should be getting the Date-in-a-Box website ready to launch at the big business expo in a few days. Except my shiny new website is glitching, and my inner rage-monster is ready to scorch some earth...when he finally picks up. Not the robot voice I expected but a real live human named Kal.

A fun quick read
Reviewed: 05-05-23
While there were a few too many sex scenes & ridiculous dirty talk for my personal preference, the actual story was pretty good. As was the writing and the character development. I liked Taryn. She's been through a lot, but she's strong, feisty, loyal and doesn't let anyone walk all over her. Trey has also had a rough childhood and it was nice to see Taryn bringing out a slightly softer, more carefree side to Trey, who is normally serious and anti-social. It was an enjoyable, funny quick read. While it's not my favorite book, I have read it at least twice and I've read the next couple of books in the series that feature other characters from this book. They are definitely worth reading if you enjoy this genre.
