Story
In this epic Biblical narrative, ideal for fans of The Bible miniseries, a young woman taken into the prophet Isaiah's household rises to capture the heart of the future king. Isaiah adopts Ishma, giving her a new name - Zibah, delight of the Lord - thereby ensuring her royal pedigree. Ishma came to the prophet's home, devastated after watching her family destroyed and living as a captive. But as the years pass, Zibah's lively spirit wins Prince Hezekiah's favor, a boy determined to rebuild the kingdom his father has nearly destroyed.

I loved the story and Getting to know more of this great king

Mesu Andrews is a great author and I recommend all of her books. She delights in giving us an insight of what it was to have women company and a spousal relationship where she really wanted to live in her spouse/King’s chambers. Zeeba, the Lord’s delight as the names interpretation, and wife of Judah’s king constantly struggles between her husband and father’s faith in Yahweh. It brought me closer to who Isaiah, Yahweh’s prophet, could have communicated with the king and wisdom of what was said. I liked the end of the book, the questions, which made me reflect more of what and who I am: A loving child of Yahweh.
