This story is so captivating, I have listened to this last book 3 times AFTER listening to the first 2 over again. I hope there is more to come. I would be devastated if it ended. THANK YOU MCCRACKEN for another escape to a refreshing story that kept me guessing but fell into place perfectly.

Just like the 1st book, this does not disappoint. Continuing the story line with twist and turns I do not see coming. I am so glad this book managed to surprise me. So many books out there have too much in the face foreshadowing with repetitive information but this book is so subtle. I LOVE IT! Different veiw points from characters I didn't realize would have view points were a treat! The growth of the characters and their relationships amongst eachother have been artfully written. The new characters introduced are something I didn't know I needed but now can not live without. I don't normally reread or listen to a book more than once but this one I will probably listen 2 to 3 more times because the story is that interesting. I really am impatiently waiting for the next book. Thank you!

Matthew Caldwell broke his promises to me. And I broke every single promise I made him. But he helped heal my heart once before. And I think maybe he’s the only one who can help me now.

i advise to not listen to this book while driving because it had me laughing and crying at the same time and that makes it very difficult to drive safely.
this book was the perfect Band-Aid after Matchmaker and run away. I got the roller coaster of emotions but it ended with a lot of Hope. of course there is a cliffhanger at the end but it's a hopeful one.

It's official - this city kicked my a**. It's time to pack my bags. A blind date that my friend set up to convince me to stay is most definitely not going to change my mind. Zero chance. Goodbye NYC.

Mason is a playboy who comes from money and it looks like he gets whatever he wants, but there is sooo much more then meets the eye. he just wants to prove that he can do better and be better on his own and he enjoys the single life. but when he meets B his whole world view starts to change.
B is a girl who came to New York to be the the guy she loved, but she soon learned that the city changes people and now she is single. she is just trying to make ends meet while proving that she can make it on her own. when she meets Mason she dosnt trust him and all she sees are the red flags that are his life style. but when she gets to know Mason she sees there is more to him then she first thought.

I have listened to so many book lately and they all seemed to be the same story structure. predictable characters and plots that were easy to guess what was around the corner. BUT not this book. It was a breath of fresh air. A whole new world that kept me guessing. The characters hold secrets that aren't revealed immediately and I am hanging on every word. I NEED answers, I hope the next books to come out already. Thanks to the author for helping me escape :-)
The narrator was fantastic, her voice was a perfect fit for the story and easy to listen to.

I'll start off with saying that I'm not the biggest fan of the fantasy genre. normally I get so lost in the world building and the story lines tend to take a while to progress but this book is very well done. I gave this book a chance and I got hooked on the very first chapter. the storyline is captivating and I'm constantly being shocked with the little surprises that just keep coming but in a realistic way. I love that the heroine is strong and a fighter. She is not a damsel in distress but she does have her own vulnerability while not being weak. if you want a book that'll keep you on your toes keep you captivated and show you that a strong woman can still be loving and feminine yet powerful and strong then this is the book for you.

I want a girl I can't have. She's my tutor. My best friend's girlfriend. And my kryptonite. She also looks really good in my T-shirt. But she wants the golden boy, and I'm more of the villain type. Or at least I was.... Until I saw her smile for the first time. But the good guy she wants wouldn't lust after his friend's girlfriend. And the good guy she's with sure as hell shouldn't be sneaking around behind her back. So where the hell does that leave me?

loved the story. it was cute funny and even a bit shocking at some parts. the author did great with this story.
I did have a hard time with the voice editing. Several times the voice actor would clear her throat or cough or she would reread the same sentence twice. This all could have easily been edited out and was a big distraction for me.

Story
I never meant to break the Untouchables. And I’ll do whatever it takes to piece them back together. Even it means embracing what I most feared. I’m going to become one of the elite. I’m going to live like an Untouchable. And not even Isabella will be able to break me. Ever. Again. But while I’m focused on outsmarting Isabella and fixing my mistakes, I forget that the stakes are so much bigger than who’s the most popular at Empire High. I’m playing with life and death. I should have seen it coming. After all...he’d betrayed me before.
