Story
In this groundbreaking book David Powlison undertakes an in-depth exploration of the roots of anger, moral judgment, and righteous response by looking in a surprising place: God's own anger. Powlison reminds us that God gets angry too. He sees things in this world that aren't right and he wants justice too. But God's anger doesn't devolve into manipulation or trying to control others to get his own way. Instead his anger is good and redemptive.

The Good. The Bad. The Needed Info.
Reviewed: 07-05-23
The Good. The Bad. The Needed Info. It is hip to hate America and its founders. It is not as cool and hip to understand their times, their flaws and seek to even-handedly view them and their lives. There was a lot to dislike and disavow about the men who founded this great nation. But there is a lot to admire as well. We do not do ourselves or our history well to just throw it all away. Let the reader understand and learn.

The result is a close-up account of a compassionate Savior on His journey to redeem His people. In this volume, Dr. R.C. Sproul traces the record of Jesus’ life as told by Luke, the man considered by some to be one of the greatest historians of the ancient world.

Story
Thomas Jefferson was arguably the most brilliant and inspiring political writer in American history. But the ethical realities of his personal life and political career did not live up to his soaring rhetoric. Indeed, three tensions defined Jefferson’s moral life: democracy versus slavery, republican virtue versus dissolute consumption, and veneration for Jesus versus skepticism about Christianity. In this book, Thomas S. Kidd tells the story of Jefferson’s ethical life through the lens of these tensions.
