Getting outdated ?
Reviewed: 10-06-22
As mentioned in it's description, this book is a collection of thought-provoking analysis of near-future topics. However, the content is now 7 years old and we also went through a pandemic, so I feel like this book could use a refresh.

My best boom this year !
Reviewed: 08-31-22
This was probably the best book I read this year. the storytelling and the science-backed advice to attain flow are very practical and applicable. I wish I got this as a physical book instead of an audiobook to facilitate notes and bookmarks.

Story
For David Goggins, childhood was a nightmare--poverty, prejudice, and physical abuse colored his days and haunted his nights. But through self-discipline, mental toughness, and hard work, Goggins transformed himself from a depressed, overweight young man with no future into a US Armed Forces icon and one of the world's top endurance athletes. The only man in history to complete elite training as a Navy SEAL, Army Ranger, and Air Force tactical air controller, he went on to set records in numerous endurance events.

more than an audiobook
Reviewed: 03-01-22
this is the first time (after Will Smith) that an audiobook production feels much better than if I had bought the physical book ! the interview / podcast at the end of each chapter adds a lot of context and back stories. I really appreciated it

Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Pretty cooljnit

Artemis came as a recommendation after I read “Ready Player One”. Both showcase a strong female character in a male dominated high-tech environment. I really liked Artemis’ lunar universe and it approached various topics like life on the Moon, creating an economy, technology and physics in low gravity or a vacuum, etc.
The artist performing the voice was great. She provided multiple voices and accents that made it easy to recognize the characters.
I can’t wait for the book to be converted into a movie, even though I’m sure they’re going to have to cut a lot of the profanity....
