This thriller adventure story is one of the best in the Audible library, maybe even the best.

It is thought provoking and awakened memories of my growing up experiences in the lower east side Housing Projects.

There are so many delightful characters within these pages. Even when i dozed off listening, it was easy to pick up the story without retracting. Cobwebbed memories of life in the Lower East Side NYC housing Projects, along with the Black voices portrayed here created a vivid gift for me. Well worth a read.

This short piece had me laughing out loud, reflecting on my own life, shedding tears after the President’s speech to the students and joyously smiling when it ended. The writing was succinct and the performers were all excellent.

The reading was many times more interesting, detailed, and also a wonderful experience for my mind to create, in ways a movie could never reproduce.

The readers were both OK, but the intermittent music ruined this one for me. I listened to the end,
only because I am familiar with the text.

The two actors were awesome and this one reminded me of ‘Love Letters’, a play I read in several years ago.

A tragic family story ending in a lengthy politically oriented speech. I could live with that.
The reader read well enough, but was not at all connected to the story. His tone was monotonous and at times sleep inducing..
