This is my fourth book by Eskens and he never disappoints me. Those who say that all those bullets, wounds, and prostitution are not for them should not read/listen to police procedurals and turn to cozy mysteries.

Even the title is misleading, don't even know what to say, I noticed hints of witchcraft and ended up being an employer -employee dispute.

The cases on the book are from stories people told the Warrens about. Most of the stories are not well developed. Good kill some time but that's it.

I know Truman Capote was a man of his time not ours. Nevertheless, there is too much racism and peyorative language for my taste. In general I consider this story to be overrated. Michael C. Hall is fantastic and his amazing performance made the book bearable for me. I look forward to more books read by him.
