Story
From New York Times Bestselling Author, HP Mallory (co-author of the bestselling Haven Hollow series), comes a brand new paranormal women’s fiction series! An irreverent, sexy, and hysterical romp through the tarot… KATE: You know that quote about most people living quiet lives of desperation? Well, that pretty much describes me to a T. I’m middle-aged, divorced, built like a tree stump, with nothing but a failing romance-writing career to call my own. Yep, no kids, no social life and no pets—not even a chinchilla to greet when I walk through the door of my crappy apartment. The ...

Reviewed: 09-29-23
I do love Rene Raudmans voices she is very good but the graphic audio adds background s that appeal to me. Now that some of the new recordings don't have her I hope that we will get more of the books. I do love the Innkeeper series the most but do give them a chance. On this story the beginning really appeals to me when kate is speaking to MS Mc sweeny.

Story
Police Chief Delaney Reed can handle supernatural disasters. With gods vacationing in her little town of Ordinary, Oregon, and monsters living alongside humans, she’s had plenty of practice. But trying to handle something so normal, so average, so very ordinary as planning her own wedding to the man she loves? Delaney is totally out of her depth. When a car falls out of the sky and lands on the beach, Delaney is more than happy to push guest lists and venue dates out of her mind. The car appears empty, but someone has slipped into Ordinary with stolen weapons from the gods.

I love to listen to this story especially The talking horse which is a demon quen in hiding. My daughter and I laughed so much. I totaly loved this book. But in orddr to get the best understanding you should start on book 1 in the town of Ordinary. The graphic audios have me hooked they are so worth it. If you buy the credits it makes the graphic audio just as much as the regular audios.

Story
Telryn "Trip" Yert has always been a little odd, with hunches that are too accurate to explain. Magic is feared and forbidden in Iskandia, so he's struggled his whole life to hide his eccentricities. As a boy, he was forced to watch his mother's execution. Her crime? Witchcraft. Understandably, Trip wants nothing to do with the power that lurks within him, always threatening to reveal itself. Instead, he dedicates himself to serving as an officer in the king's army, to battling pirates and imperial conquerors. He longs to become a soldier as respected and renowned as General Zirkander.

Great companion to Mercy Thompson.
Reviewed: 05-10-22
So If youve read Mercy Thomspson you know that some gaps are missing. This series fills in the gaps I like how the reader does the male voices but Ive always have had A problem with males doing female voices it just doesn't match but he does a decent enough job although some female also with visaversa. I have heard one reader do a great job of both. But either way this book is good it has a great story I hope that this is released in graphic. But you do get some answers as to the missing gaps in Mercy Thompson I wish if anyone knows the correct reading order. But well worth a listen since I do both read and listen to the books. The story has action and you learn about the characters emotions also.

On the outside, Dina Demille is the epitome of normal. She runs a quaint Victorian Bed and Breakfast in a small Texas town, owns a Shih Tzu named Beast, and is a perfect neighbor, whose biggest problem should be what to serve her guests for breakfast. But Dina is...different: Her broom is a deadly weapon; her Inn is magic and thinks for itself. Meant to be a lodging for otherworldly visitors, the only permanent guest is a retired Galactic aristocrat who can’t leave the grounds because she’s responsible for the deaths of millions and someone might shoot her on sight.

I totally loved the accents except now where is the sweep in Peace I didnt see a spot to pre-order. This book is great I especially loved the whispering intimidation part thoose of you who have read it will know . But audible please make the secound and third book available in graphic audio.

Dina DeMille isn't your typical bed and breakfast owner. Her inn defies laws of physics, her dog is secretly a monster, and the only permanent guest of the inn is a former galactic tyrant with a price on her head. The inn needs guests to thrive and guests have been scarce, so when an arbitrator shows up at Dina's door and asks her to host a peace summit between three warring species, she jumps on the chance.

I did have a prejudice
Reviewed: 02-08-22
When I first heard the main character have a southern accent I thought she did sound a little older than her character but as I continued to listen by the second chapter her voice actually fit Dina. The fact that I haven't heard southern accents in many years. But once I got over it in the second chapter in the first book I loved all her characters. She did a great job in this book. I absolutely love this series. They have action and romance not that much in this one but the characters are great. This series is a great one.

This a wonderful story but voice is off.
Reviewed: 10-17-21
The male performances and others was very good but she is supposed to be 24 years old but she sounds a lot older. When the voice of a 40 year old character at the beginning sounds younger. She does much better in latter books. But the story is so good I got used to it. I would read it more than listened but this book about an inn for extraterrestrials is great. The writters bring the characters to life. After a while I got used to the voice. The inflections were good. I will have more info on the kindle review but it was nice to listen to if I was doing housework and didn't want to put the book down.
