Story
I've been in love with Luke Daniels since, well, forever. As his sister's best friend, I've spent over a decade living in the friend zone, watching from the sidelines hoping he would notice me, pick me, love me. I want the fairy tale, and Luke is my Prince Charming. He's tall, with shoulders so broad he blocks out the sun. He's kind with a smile so dazzling he makes me forget everything that's wrong in the world. And he's the only man that can make me laugh until my cheeks hurt and my stomach cramps.

SORELY DISAPPOINTED
Reviewed: 04-09-20
Let me start by saying that the narration was great. The storyline, however, was quite boring. That being said I did finish it but it took me some time of starting and stopping; definitely not one of those books you can't stop listening to because you want to find out what happens next. I continued on with it to see if it would get better.
Louise Bay is one of my favorite authors but this just didn't hold my attention. Ancillary characters were pretty good as was Luke's character but Ashley constantly got on my nerves. She was wishy washy and indecisive about everything.
LB, please due a better job next time with intrigue, wonder and non-typical, unpredictable storyline

SO, SO SORRY
Reviewed: 03-21-20
I have listened to every book available on Audible written by LLV and have loved them all. She is one of my all time favorite authors. However, this one was ruined by the narrators. I had to actually concentrate hard, as if I was listening to an incomprehensible educational manual, for this book to keep my attention. I also had to quit and listen to something else (twice) in order to talk myself into going back to finish. Narrators can certainly destroy a story if they aren't good narrators. In my opinion, audio books should be performed, not just narrated. These two did not perform, and sorely disappointed. I will be asking for my money/credit back which will be a first for me with this author. So sorry Ms. Vale even though the storyline was good, these two narrators just didn't work for me.

She's the definition of lost. Doesn't know her name? Check. Cruelly beaten within an inch of her life? Check. No memory of anything that's happened since she woke up from that beating? Check. Losing a child she doesn't remember conceiving? Check. She hasn't felt anything but lost in a very long time. Then an old biker tells her danger is on the horizon. He sends her to a man that she instantly feels a connection with. A bone deep connection.

LLV is one of my favorite authors but this story seemed a bit disjointed to me and I was really disappointed, I also missed Kendall Ryan as the female narrator….please bring her back. I think had she been narrating it would have been much more enjoyable. Stephanie Rose just doesn't fit after listening to KR for so long paired with Mason Lloyd.

DRAMA, EGO AND LESS THAN ALPHA MEN
Reviewed: 04-17-19
This story has too much drama, actually not really drama so much as dramatic reactions to almost everything. Lucy is caught in a whirl wind of EGO. It's not that she thinks so much of herself it's that she's always thinking of herself. The entire story is about her thinking she can do something about everything and that everyone's problems are her fault. It got really old in the first book and even older in the second. Hard time finishing this one. At one point, for several days, did not want to listen to the rest of the story, even my curiosity didn't get the better of me. Then, I wanted to know who she chose to actually be in love with. Very odd story. Very odd narration. Not at all impressed. Hope this author learns more about life and writing and the narrator practices before she narrates another book. It was more of a narration and less of a performance. Again, not impressed.

My name is Lucy Tucker, and my life…it was perfect. I worked the dream job. I had the most incredible family and friends. My home, Whispering Willows, a ranch in Montana, was everything I could ever wish for. My adoring fiancé, Samuel Stone, loved me unconditionally. I had everything a girl could ever want. But one fateful event shattered my perfect life. It’s unimaginable how simple, ordinary words can change a person’s life forever. For me those words were, “There’s been an accident.”

TOUGH LISTEN
Reviewed: 04-16-19
This was a tough listen for me. For one, the narrator left a lot to be desired; I eventually just went with it but the narration could have been much better. Two, the story drug out too long. I liked getting to know the characters, especially Saxon, but the ending SUCKED. It left me feeling like I wanted to write my own ending. Now maybe that was the whole idea but not liking that type of ending I was a little miffed. It didn't even end like a typical "cliffhanger" and maybe, again, that was what MJ was going for. Hopefully Book 2 will help smooth my ruffled feathers.

WHAT DO I SAY ?
Reviewed: 07-25-17
I don't often write reviews anymore, but, I felt compelled to write this one. While the story was pretty good, good enough to hold my attention to the end, and I liked that the male voice was done by a man and the female voice a woman, and the male narrator had a decent voice, but the lilts to his voice and the timing of them were very awkward. I know very little about narration or voice performance, however, I have listened to over 3,000 audiobooks and it seems to me if he had just talked normally instead of what seemed to be trying to perform, I think it would have been much better. That said, I usually give up before the end if I can't tolerate the narration and just return the book, but it says a lot that I stuck it out to the end.
Hope, if he continues to narrate, he gets better. I'd love to listen to the second book in the series but not looking forward the many hours of him again.

Ever notice that sometimes a guy will do something really stupid, like let the love of his life slip through his fingers? Yeah. I'm that guy. But the instant I run into her again I've got one goal and one goal only—a second chance. The plan? Go big or go home. Fine, at first glance, stripping naked at my ex-girlfriend's place of work might not seem like the brightest way to win her heart again. But trust me on this count—she always liked me best without any clothes on. And sometimes you've got to play to your strengths when you're fighting an uphill battle.

This book felt like "a filler". There was positively no substance to it. Don't get me wrong, LB is one of my favorite authors and I have listened to everything she has offered on Audible, however, this disappointed. It seemed as though she was in a hurry to get a book out in order to not loose her readers/listeners…
The performers were great and made the book an easy listen, but credit or money seemed wasted on this one. This will, however, not keep me from listening to future books unless they continue to be of the same caliber.

With a famous NHL player for a stepbrother, Violet Hall is well acquainted with the playboy reputation of many a hockey star. So of course she isn't interested in legendary team captain Alex Waters or his pretty, beat-up face and rock-hard six-pack abs. But when Alex inadvertently obliterates Violet's misapprehension regarding the inferior intellect of hockey players, he becomes much more than just a hot body with the face to match.

I really have enjoyed Ms. Huntings books in the past, however, this was one was way too predictable….I did enjoy it nonetheless. However, Muffy Newton should have narrated the entire book; I'm sorry Mr. Everett, but your female voice was much better than your male voice.
Mr. Everett just does not have the necessary deep, sexy voice required for this type of book. I finished it, but won't listen to any more books he narrates.

Story
The club comes first. I've lived by those words my whole life - assumed I'd die by them, too, and I never had a problem with that. My Reaper brothers took my back and I took theirs, and it was enough. Then I met her. Tinker Garrett. She's beautiful, she's loyal, and she works so damned hard it scares me sometimes. She deserves a good man - one better than me. I can't take of her yet, because the club still needs me. There's another woman, another job, another fight just ahead.

It felt like JW was in a hurry to please her fans with another Reaper's saga and just really missed the mark, in my opinion.
