More clarity is needed for readers to understand why the switch from cat to human and back. Also, how does the bad guy know about the Cat/people shifter and why does he hate them? Maybe more info in next book.

Wedding bells are ringing as Tara and her soon-to-be-husband Nick prepare for their big day. But along with all the RSVP cards are a series of death threats from an unknown source. The culprit must be someone from an earlier investigation-a white-collar criminal with a red-hot grudge-but Tara has run across too many lawbreakers to narrow down the search. And time, like her biological clock, is ticking.

I'm sad that it's over. The series was fun and funny. The characters engaging and delightful. I'm very glad this last book stayed true to the characters all the way to the end. I usually read these because of the swearing and sex talk but they were mostly free on Audible this month so I finished it. Thank you.

They are one of my Top Favorite fictional couples. They are never too old for fun. They truly enjoy each other and their children. Susan is a blast, so pragmatic next to Anne's imagination and FUN. I love the Children too. It's like reliving my childhood. It's the kind of Childhood I wanted for my Kids. And that gossip session at the quilting....good grief. What a kid, that Walter. Not to mention Jenny Penny, Delilah Green, and the Wicked Lady with the Mysterious Eyes. What a Kick! Enjoy. The other Anne books are Fantastically Fabulous as well. Happy Reading, er Listening. 😊

It's Important to Note...
Reviewed: 07-30-19
.......this is a work of fiction. If I understood correctly the targets, missions, etc. were factual or at least factually based but the characters were put together from bits and pieces of real people and their memories. There were women pilots and they did tremendously important work. Which went mostly unrecognized or appreciated. Sad. Even if only some of this story were true. These Female Pilots, Navigators, and Mechanical teams were every bit the Heroes that their male counterparts are. Even more so given the planes and equipment the ladies were given were much less adequate and needed imagination and ingenuity to put them back together after each flight/mission. I will read this author and listen to this narrator again. Job well done. I am disappointed the main character is not a real person. Although it is so well done, you don't know that until the end. The author really brings the characters Alive.

When The Cookie Jar becomes the setting of a star-studded TV special about movies filmed in Minnesota, Hannah hopes to shine the spotlight on her bakery - not the unsavory scandal swirling around her personal life. But that’s practically impossible with a disturbing visit from the shifty character she once believed was her one and only love, a group of bodyguards following her every move, and a murder victim in her bedroom.

The untimely diversion of Ross is so NOT appreciated. Pick Mike or Norman and get on with it. Series doesn't need to end just because Hannah finally chooses. It's getting ridiculous.
The recipes are mostly enjoyable but the continuing thread of indecision is ruining what had been a good story.
I do enjoy that the series takes place in Minnesota. What happened to the TV show that Hannah was to host? It was mentioned and made a big deal of then Nothing.
This series is not as good as it had been. Too bad. There is still hope for it though. The characters are enjoyable. Mike is my Favorite.
HAPPY READING!!!

Ok. Maybe that's too harsh. I am soooooooo disappointed. What about Tinkie's baby? Isn't Christmas the Perfect time to propose? Why Ireland? Did Coleman like the boots? Pluto, Chablis, and Sweetie were NOT in the middle of the action as they usually are. This one was alright but missing the usual kick. Also too predictable. Not enough Surprises. Not as Happy as I usually am with this series. Expected More. Also Jitty was not "there" as much. Her colorful commentary was missing more than it was present. I missed her. What about Madame Tomeaka's response to Eve and the situation? Sorry to be vague. I don't want to give it away if you have not read it. Just 1 more thing. Or so. Did J.T. make it back to CeeCee? Was CeeCee at the hospital with Mitch and Daria? Did Alfie survive? Too many loose ends. 😥
I am glad Sarah Booth got to see her parents though. I am also glad the series continues. 😉

Love Hamish and the Narrator's voice. Perfection. Going back where it all started reminded me why I don't like Ms. Halburton-Smythe. I much prefer Elsepth. She knows how to love. I had also forgotten how the author disses on Hamish. In this book it kinda seems like she doesn't like him.
For Readers New to Hamish. Get caught up and then read Agatha Raisin. Soooooo much FUN!!!😉🤗😎
