At age 11, Alex Sinclair pledges an oath to the Duke of Chatham promising to serve and protect his illegitimate daughter, Lucy FitzHarris. Nine years later, the duke unexpectedly takes Alex up on his vow, offering the future Laird of Balforss his daughter's hand in marriage. I loved the story and the narration was spot on! for me there just wasn't any steam to the story, some like that but for me I love the steamy parts and there wasn't any.

Story
Once, I was nothing. Hungry, abandoned, wandering, and alone. An adolescent street rat fighting for crumbs. Then a chance encounter changed my entire world. A man in an expensive suit asked me how much my life was worth. I didn't have an answer because I didn't know. He asked if I thought it was worth killing for. Impulsively, I said yes.... He found me, then fostered me, and, in the interim, turned me into a killing machine.

It was always him.... The one I shouldn't want, shouldn't crave, the one who could destroy my carefully built life. Hagen Lykaios was the essence of sin, indulgence, and danger - everything I knew to avoid. All it took was one unexpected touch, and he consumed me, left me begging, needy, and hungry for more.

this story was simply beautiful. I loved the storyline and fell in love with the characters. getting a glimpse into the seedy underside of Vegas and if course the broken alpha male. the steam level was off the charts.
Joe Arden and Yami Habibi were fantastic. Yami was new to me and didn't disappoint. she was all in with her performance and her sex scenes were incredible! I can't wait to start the next book in this series.

Story
Everything is going to be perfect. Greyson comes home from deployment to live the life she and her husband Caden dreamed of. He has a surgical residency, and she has a psychiatric practice in the basement of their Manhattan brownstone. Caden loves his wife more than he can measure. But he starts hearing whispers. Someone else loves her. Someone else wants her. There's someone else, and though whoever's behind the whispers will move mountains to have her, Caden will move heaven and earth to keep her.

I am not sure i have the words to describe how fantastic this story was. it was a little different of a story than I was used to but loved it just as much. there were certainly some major twists and turns in this one. military, experimental drugs, side effects, top secret, confidential all great words that help describe the book without giving anything away. CD Reiss certainly did her research on this one with all the military lingo and medical jargon. The twists in this story will catch you off guard and throw you to the edge of your seat. Freaking brilliant writing!
Maxine Mitchell did a superb job as per usual! Joe Arden did an extraordinary job. If narrators could be awarded Oscar's, Tonys, Grammys Joe should win all of them in all categories! the emotion that was breathed into this book by Joe and Maxine was beyond words. I highly recommend this listen.

Story
Caden and Greysen come home from deployment to build a life together. Everything is perfect, until Caden starts changing into a different man - one with a savage edge that's as dangerous as it is seductive. Who is her husband? What has he become? And why? With time running out and forces bigger than their marriage working against them, Greysen needs to put together the pieces before Caden takes it all too far.

Story
Sydney finds more than she bargained for when she gets lost on her way to report for a new job and finds herself at a lifestyle club. Peering in through the window, her attention - and libido - are both snagged by a man delivering some old-fashioned discipline to a young blonde. After he runs Sydney off, both are surprised to discover she is the new chef he’s hired for his ranch. Caden wanted to turn away the cheeky woman he’d caught spying on his club without remorse, but desperation for a chef forced his hand. Sydney proves to be an asset to his employees and a pain in his butt.

Story
I've seen the way women in line behind the velvet rope look at William Fox, like he's an Armani-clad St. Peter at the pearly gates. Except, Panic isn't heaven, and this bouncer is no saint. He's been tempting me to sin ever since I started working here, but Fox's slick smile and bad-boy swagger tell me everything I need to know about him. Still, a girl has needs. And Fox looks ready to fulfill every last one - at least for a night....

Story
I thought I could enjoy a night out like a normal person. I thought I could handle the flashing lights, the pulsing music, the crowded dance floor. I couldn't have been more wrong. After having an anxiety attack and passing out during my sister's engagement party at Panic, I wake up in the arms of the hottest guy I've ever seen. Nick Moreno's no gentleman. But he might just be the man I need to help me take control of my life.

Story
I never meant to be here: tied up in bed next to a serial killer. When I followed him home, I was just playing Nancy Drew. Trying to find out his secret. His kiss was intoxicating, and I thought he was harmless. I was wrong. Nancy Drew never ended up in a basement, handcuffed to a radiator, teased to the edge of insanity, begging to be let go. Soon I stopped begging to be let go. Soon I started begging to be his.

When this started I wasn't sure i wanted to finish it. It is a very different romance than what I have listened to in the past. I wasn't I wanted to listen to something that I could see how there could be a HEA. No spoilers though. You will need to listen for yourself to see how it ends. Carly Robins did an amazing job narrating. This story was brilliantly written!

Story
A new town. A new identity. Pregnant and alone. And far away from a past that can never find me. River Wild. Moody. Sullen. Jerk. And my new neighbor. I have no interest in befriending River. And he definitely doesn’t want to be befriended by me. Then, he helps me rescue an abandoned dog. And that day, I see something in his eyes that reflects back in my own. Sadness. Pain. Loneliness. I know all of those things well. An unwanted and unexpected friendship that somehow works. Then, without warning, it turns into something more.
