Can't listen to this if you're a major Castle fan
Reviewed: 12-20-22
In my opinion the reading/ voices/story was bad.
I LOVE the show Castle. I find myself picturing the characters of Beckett, Esposito & Ryan being in these books (obviously, that was what Rick Castle was doing, basing his book on them), but they just don't come across well. If you've repeatedly watched the show you'll hear things in these books that are plots, storylines, similar comments as in the show, but having watched so many times, it's like listening to bad actors play out one or more of the episodes.
also not a fan of this "reading" I prefer listening to Brits, so when it's an American reader, I hope to hear more style and character than this man delivered.

Too much to track, a bit boring, political agenda
Reviewed: 12-08-22
In my opinion it had too much going on. I could'nt keep track of the characters. It's basically pushing political agendas against big pharma and or vaccines. but it's just not enough to keep you interested in the plot.

Not my fav of the collection, but ok
Reviewed: 11-30-22
I love this series, and all characters. This particular storyline just didn't keep my focus the way others have. It's a good story, but I found myself losing track of who is who and what was going on. I do hope there are many more books ahead and would love to see this become a TV show. The group reminds me of my favorite show Castle.

it is so slow, there seems to be nothing to help a listener "concentrate". I felt like as soon as she stopped talking about a person, I'd already forgotten who it was and we're on to the next forgettable character. it was just difficult to get into or follow. I didn't go past 32 chapters.
