Story
Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn famously said that one of the biggest mistakes people make is assuming totalitarianism can't happen in their country. Many American Christians are making that mistake today, sleepwalking through the erosion of our freedoms. Live Not by Lies will wake them and equip them for the long resistance.

We must not listen to this woke world. We must listen to truth.

What an eye-opening book. Communism is coming upon us. We need to wake up. It’s here. We need only to look at our history of communism and socialism throughout history and how it has failed to come to the conclusion that we should be fighting against it.
When the government says that it will take care of us, that’s the time to say, “No thank you.” and vote in new government officials, those who will work for our freedom not for communism.
God is the one we should be looking to to take care of us. We need to honor and worship him and see that we belong to him and that he loves us more than anyone
in this world ever will. We need to repent of our sins. We need to turn back to God. It is the only way out of the hellhole of communism.
May God have mercy on us and may we not repeat history in regards to being taken over by communists.
This was a great read! It is an eye-opener! It is inspiring. I highly recommend it.

Story
The Didache (translated literally as ‘Teaching’) is an extensive and detailed Christian text dated by experts to around the first century, making it the oldest intact catechism. The Didache has been a source of great interest to devout Christians, theology students, and historians alike since its discovery and contains a great amount of information, rites, and references in connection to the Christian faith.

Jesus started one church.
Reviewed: 01-05-24
The church that Jesus started is the Catholic Church. If we steep ourselves in history, we cease to be protestant. The 12 apostles and the early church fathers who they taught were all Catholic.
The Catholic Church can be traced back all the way to Jesus himself. Yes, it is made up of simple people, but it is still the church that Jesus Christ gave us on earth. It is guided by the Holy Spirit. That is the only reason that it is still standing, and it will be standing at the end of time , the gates of hell will not prevail against it. Jesus made a promise, and he will not break his promise.
I’m going to listen to this audio version of the Didache over and over again.
Thank you!

Story
Karl Keating defends Catholicism from fundamentalist attacks and explains why fundamentalism has been so successful in converting "Romanists". After showing the origins of fundamentalism, he examines representative anti-Catholic groups and presents their arguments in their own words. His rebuttals are clear, detailed, and charitable.

I liked how easy this book is to read. It’s written in laymans terms.
It gives us tools, not only to learn our faith more deeply, but to share our faith, and be able to explain it to others in a way that they can understand. I highly recommend this book.

Story
While American church culture (and American culture at large) seems largely designed for the extroverted, it's estimated that half of the American population is introverted, and they're often left wondering how, even if, they fit in the kingdom of God. As one of them, popular radio host Brant Hansen brings news. It's wonderful, refreshing, and never-been-said-this-way-before good news.

Brant Hansen hits another homerun. He didn’t get a single hit in eight years when he played baseball as a kid, but this one he hit out of the park. So often in this world we feel like we don’t fit in because we are not good enough, pretty enough, smart enough or athletic enough. Brant Hansen speaks of how we are good enough in God‘s eyes as the misfits that we are. God loves misfits and we are all misfits, although some do not realize it just yet. We are on God’s team. He wants all of us on his team. This book is giving me encouragement as a misfit as well as seeing the beauty in others who are misfits as well. We all are gifts from God and we need to realize it in ourselves and in each other. I highly recommend this book.
