Story
Kay Willingham led a life as glamorous as it was public - she was a gorgeous Georgetown socialite, philanthropist, and the ex-wife of the vice president. So why was she parked in a Bentley convertible idling behind a DC private school, in the middle of the night, with the man who was the head of that school? Who shot them both, point blank, and why? The shocking double homicide is blazed across the internet, TV, newspapers - and across Alex Cross's mind. Kay had been his patient once. And maybe more.

Did the narrator listen to previous books?

The book story is fine. Classic Alex Cross and I enjoyed it. The narration was sad. How do you have 27 books where Alex’s daughters name is pronounced JAN-EE and then have this book be JANE-EE and have AL-EE be mix matched within the book with All-EE. Annoying for someone who has listened to every Alex Cross novel on Audible.

Perfect narration for a wonderful tale. This is some of the best narration of any audio book I've listened to.

Story
The internationally known Jason Bourne can't help by feel connected to this case as he finds a man also with amnesia and the truth behind his identity could just save Bourne's life. The man Jason Bourne fishes out of the freezing sea is near death, half-drowned, and bleeding profusely from a gunshot wound. He awakens with no memory of who he is or why he was shot-and Bourne is eerily reminded of his own amnesia. Then Bourne discovers that the Mossad agent named Rebeka is so determined to find this injured man that she has gone off the grid.

The audio was not pleasant.
Reviewed: 12-22-15
The audio was poorly edited. Many voices, especially female characters, were far too low and whisper like. Turning the volume up to hear the dialog clearly results in very very loud narration.
The story is good. But please, Mr. Van Lustbader, come up with some new phrases. "as he stared out the Perspex window" being used every time someone is on a plane is getting old. This popped up about three books ago and is now an annoyance.

Story
New York Times best-selling author, Eric Van Lustbader, returns with another Jason Bourne thriller as he spars off against another deadly agent - and he might be the perfect match for Bourne. Facing down mercenaries in Africa, Jason Bourne witnesses the death of an art dealer named Tracy Atherton. Her killing dredges up snatches of Bourne's impaired memory, in particular the murder of a young woman on Bali who entrusted him with a strangely engraved ring-an artifact of such powerful significance that people have killed to obtain it.

The sound effects are a bit much and unnecessary.
Reviewed: 11-04-15
Sound effects are too invasive. I don't see the need for them at all. Other than that, the book is typical Bourne and entertaining.
