This book was a breath of fresh air and hope that I can master my tasks and don’t have to kill myself to do it. The tools are great and simple to use, which makes it even better. Likely one I’ll listen to again a few times to refresh on!

Way to get into it

I like that I get more background and info in characters from the game, and a better understanding of of what happened leading up to playing the game. Very satisfying intro

What a start!

Epic, engaging, fun and different. Really great start and well read. Characters are fun. The story moves nicely and is smooth, it has suspense, drama, a tad of romance, and big stakes. Really fun book to start this series with.

What a finish!

K so I went through this entire series in just 2 weeks. I could t stop. I had to know what happened with Gwen, the Lark Family, earth, Atlantis… everything.
This final book did not disappoint.
One thing from the previous book I thought would become important was, which made me happy, but it was still done in a way I didn’t fully expect.
The only thing I didn’t like about this 4th book was that it ended. I finished honestly thrilled and satisfied, but wanting more. What happened with others, how do things progress… I could easily continue on with this world and these characters, and will likely revisit the series in a few years to engage again.
Until the , I can only say well done. All of it. The story, the depth, the characters. It was all engaging and entertaining. Everything you want in a book and a series!

Story
Gwen Lark, nerd, geek, and awkward smart girl, is among the lucky ones. She's one of several million teenage refugees to escape the extinction-level asteroid barreling toward Earth and reach the ancient colony planet of Atlantis. But Atlantis is a strange new world with higher gravity and a blazing white sun, where nothing is as expected. The new arrivals from Earth will now belong to the majority class of noncitizens who face a lifetime of hard work and limited rights.

Great continuation

I’ve devoured this entire series. It was fun, fast paced, well read, different and yet engaging on every level.
Sure I found myself several times shaking my head at the immature decisions of a teen girl (Gwen) but that was from an outside perspective. Overall, I enjoyed the continuation of this story and the Lark family’s journey and found the entire thing drawing me in, always wanting to know what would happen next.
I give props to the narrator too, who does very well giving each character identity and weight.
