Story
“Shy” Hunt and the tech team from McAllen Integrations thought they’d have an easy job - set up environmental systems for the brand new Hasanova Data Solutions colony, built on the abandoned ruins of a complex known as “Charybdis”. There are just two problems: The colony belongs to the Iranian state, so diplomacy is strained at best, and the complex is located above a series of hidden caves that contain deadly secrets.

Good concepts in desperate need of an editor...

The main components of the plot are all solid: a human-derived alien that has retained its consciousness, colonial marines attacking Weyland-Yutani research installation, human civilization coming to a head with Xenomorphs. HOWEVER, the discrepancies within the Alien/Bladerunner universe are most conflicting and evident in this novel. For instance, the unification of countries was established and accepted in BladeRunner/Alien/Aliens, and later rescinded. Therefore, how can there be "Iranians" in space? How can the Colonial Marines be of the USMC (previously the ). Not only this, but the author creates his own set of plot holes (no spoilers) that are not rectified. Mr. White injects a not-insignificant amount of his political viewpoint and religious viewpoint into this novel, which bothers me if only because none of the other Alien novels do so. They are purposefully apolitical and atheistic.
As for the dubbing, Mrs. Arserio makes a strong effort to differentiate characters' voices and accents. There are simply too many characters for her to do so effectively without at least one additional narrator. I would suggest in future that she refrain from applying accents and voices especially when it precludes her from using appropriate tonality.
Overall an enjoyable audiobook, but only upon first listen. As for the novel, I hope that some part of it gets accepted into the canon but honestly it would need at least one major be revision to do so.

Story
The year is 1876. Warring Indian tribes still populate America's western territories, even as lawless gold-rush towns begin to mark the landscape. In much of the country, it is still illegal to espouse evolution. Against this backdrop two monomaniacal paleontologists pillage the Wild West, hunting for dinosaur fossils while surveilling, deceiving, and sabotaging each other in a rivalry that will come to be known as the Bone Wars.
