Story
After the explosive events surrounding MPF6's destruction on Karkin Four, Wic and his team of daredevil operators join forces with the rebel force known as the Blood Guard. While the Phantoms desire to help relocate human refugees to safer worlds, they're forced to confront a more pressing objective: cut off the head of the beast and keep the Androchidan Empire from enslaving another world. Wic is immediately flung into the heat of battle, driven by retaliation, a need for justice, and the need to send a message to all other deviant species who'd wish to take advantage of the innocent.

The carefully crafted story hooked me from the first chapter. I am a dog lover & love the unique characters that were brought to life. Not to mention the relationship between Grover & his owner. It was not just a relationship but a bond!
Normally I get done with an audio book I listen to it 1 more time. Because I stop & start it in so many places. I want to make sure I didn't miss anything. This audio book was the first I've ever listened to it over 4 times in a row. Sounds a bit obsessive I know. But this book just brings out this amazing bond between people and their pets.
It's not a book for children. But it's a great comical, syfi adventure all adults will enjoy. I've shared it with friends and my dad. I for 1 am hooked & will be reading/ listening to everyone in the series.
the reader gave an awesome performance!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I don't think I have mentioned this on any of the other books but I do appreciate that the author chooses a nonsense made up word ans then uses it for swearing. if nothing else to prove that a book doesn't need lots of swearing in it to be good. I love all the references ro old TV shows ans movies. I'm guessing I'm about the same age as the authors and that's why it's so awesome. but they are hilarious references a kid from any era can pickup on and enjoy! thanks so much for the adventure! I look forward to the next book!

I've been on Audible since 2015. During that time I've listened about audio 202 books. I generally follow listen to a small number of authors religiously. When I was offered the opportunity to listen to CT's books I thought hmm ok. But honestly I've been pleasantly surprised how much I enjoy all his pop culture references. So fantastic are these one liners and story ideas especially as our current history heats up around the development of A.I. I really enjoying these books. C.T. Will be another author I look to exploring his various books. Jeff does a fantastic job bringing these characters to life! thanks Jeff for all your hard work!

Unfortunately, his actions result in him getting press-ganged into an expendable crew of misfits recruited by a legendary starship captain. Their mission? To recover a collection of lost sun-destroying missiles that could restart a galactic war. Unfortunately, Vance is smart enough to know something is wrong with this picture. So, I was on Facebook and saw one of my fav audio performers promoting this book with C.T. Thought I'd check it out! I've gotta say it's outrageously funny. I'm definitely attracted to the syfi space genre. This was very creative having one of the characters be a Squirrel. I would have loved to hear Jeff's out takes on that voice lol. I'm sure he got quite the chuckle. I liked all the banter back & forth via telepathy that's a new one. Lots of unique twists I didn't see coming. I'm very much looking forward to next book.

Great Series
Reviewed: 10-28-23
I've got to explain the reason for the lower stars. I believe the performance was good and the story was exciting. I don't want to give away too much of the book. but I'll just state that I felt this book seemed to get stuck on the planet. hitting dead ends left and right. causing the main characters to have to work with the people they wanted to gun down. Just seemed like it was too many impossibilities. I apologize to the man performing in this book. He did a great job. but when you have been used to one man doing the series and the coming down off the emotional feelings from the previous book. it was quite sad to hear Bob would not be reading this series any longer. But nice to know he's doing the other corresponding series. I understand if this series doesn't do well then the other series may suffer. It took me about 3/4s of the book before I really adjusted to Chris reading the book.
See you at the end of the next 1.
