Has a lot of new aspects to magic that are introduced in a reasonable way without just being hey I need a random fix to the problem. Overall well written brings back info from the beginning, to highlight how you get to where you’re going. Love the entire work so far, and heath miller has done a fantastic job narrating the entire thing.

Story builds and gets better throughout with a reasonable progression. Narrator does an exceedingly great job, on par with the likes of jim dale and Gerard Doyle I’ve said it before l and stand by it.

Story
It’s not easy making the career jump from office-supplies-store middle manager to heroic interdimensional adventurer. At least, Jason tries to be heroic, but it's hard to be good when all your powers are evil. He’ll face off against cannibals, cultists, wizards, monsters...and that’s just on the first day. He’s going to need courage, he’s going to need wit, and he’s going to need some magic powers of his own. But first, he’s going to need pants.

Favorite LitRPG. It’s now a top ten recommendation when people ask about what to read.

Very well written as a whole series, the book wraps up quickly on this first one. Author effectively use’s humor throughout, without taking away from the story. Narrator blows it out of the water. Even makes listening to stat sheets interesting. It’s rare that an author makes you feel like you could be the guy who fell into a story( very relatable main character if if he is an Aussie)

Reluctantly accepting that his only chance at life rests in corrupt magic, Thorn soon finds himself exploring a world of ancient mysteries, all while trying to hide his tracks from those who want to hunt him down. Pursued by bounty hunters intent on dragging him back in chains, Thorn soon discovers the plot is deeper than he thought. Love the entirety of the series, the storyline continues to build. Has excellent peaks that keep reaching up. Excellent return to past information throughout. Author executes plot twists masterfully. I read too much to say it’s my favorite, but after the 50+ books and series I’ve read or listened to this year it’s top 2 as a series. looking forward to the next book next month.
