MC: from Merc to so much more

Magnus Cromwell is the main character of this story. It's these little Easter eggs the author drops in this series. This is a really long series but it still keeps you entertained from it's charter progression and introduction to the powers obtained and cost of such power. This is a complete series you should definitely check out.

Yet again this series has everything you'd want in a book. The characters progression is great, the story flows so easily, and several times I found myself laughing at the antics. I can't wait to see where it goes from here!

Story
Life’s tough when you’re trapped in an eight-year-old body on another world. His name is Eight. Not really, but that’s what the System decided after a slip of the tongue. One moment, he was stepping out the office door on the way home, and the next waking up on a hillside below a town wall. Oh, and the gate guard drove him off, because he thought Eight was a monster. What’s a boy to do in a world full of magic and so many, many hungry creatures searching for their next meal? Well, there’s an old man inside that body, and he'll use everything he’s learned to survive.

This is a slightly different spin on a isekai story. There is no OP beginnings or really too many bubbling MC whining their way through the story. What you do get is a MC finding himself in a 8 year old body in a strange world trying to learn his way through without dying.

If you're looking for a litrpg novel this has very little game mechanics. The story is good and voice acting is great if you give this book a try. Just don't expect to hear about any stats or skills.

Sam is back and better than ever! Just kidding. His life still sucks. Dragged into the video-game-like world of Somerset, he is constantly having his patience and sanity tested by the world's sheer tropiness and unoriginality. Like, for example, how Princess Willow of the East was kidnapped just a few hours after asking for his help in saving her kingdom. Or, how seemingly no one, including the all-powerful Adventurers Guild, can do anything about it.
