If you have already read the stories and have discussed them at length to know what the Professor is talking about then it’s a wonderful refresher which even now after all these years I wonder if like Muhammad Socrates was having seizures of some sort vs. being just caught up in thought for 25 minutes as he heard other voices or perhaps a possession. So I’m also interested in a good book to teach rhetoric how to set it up, the parts and how to identify them how to participate vs just the Socratic method which I use for everything even if sometimes it can be embarrassing to ask simple questions with simple or already covered answers. It’s easy to see that many discussions do not fully cover main aspects of a topic. It also reminds me of the book I recommend to everyone which is difficult to stomach if your not used to self questioning which is Katie Bryon’s “Loving What is” where she discusses four basic questions that I think help to get you on the right path.

The best written book I have read in years and years. I will recommend this book as mandatory reading for all high school English courses.

Talk about manipulation of the text to suit your desire. Perhaps he did not read the introduction before Genesis. Seriously scary!

Why not discuss how Monticello sits way up on the hill and the wind whips so fast and cold even the windows panes shake. That the house has chimneys NOT HVAC heating systems and how much wood was cleared to keep the house and outbuildings warm enough to survive because… didn’t a President loose some parts because is so damp and cold on the east coast winters and doesn’t the small creeks freeze over so how did that watering system work in the Virginia freezing Decembers let alone decorating… Then why would someone not CHRISTIAN DECORATE and Decorate for what exactly. So in the podcast talk about what you are going to talk about it then talk about it then repeat the important things so we can get lost in the story and imagination of Jeffersons misery and hope for a better tomorrow by protecting the lands and did he trade with the Indians to keep his people alive where there any Indians left then…. Get that outline set up. How hard is the ground in VA…. What potatoes were available since he did have cellers

I waited and listed to all of the podcasts at one time and this could be a really good podcast if… well if they actually talked about the details of Jefferson and his desire to feed his people, how he stole seeds afraid to be caught just to bring seeds back from Europe. How he educated everyone to make them self sufficient including attempting to teach the nation twice mind you. Would you take even a young many and let him use the table saw without first teaching him where the on off switch was, do you not use the shovel rake and hoe each different but each with their own purpose. Perhaps a comprehensive study of Jefferson then an outline then make a podcast.

So Madison was not an attorney and only helped formate the documents after reading what Jefferson sent him… is that right? Then wanted to argue the points because he had so long to think about it after educating himself…

Openly admitting he is working for the money but then upset because he’s fired for not caring about the company and only working for money is but one simple example of the constant contradictions.

I did not care for this book at all and do not recommend reading this book to anyone.
