Story
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

What an insight into royal life! If Harry’s memoir is true there is much healing that needs to take place for the family. Not unlike most of our families. My hope is that Harry and and his chosen family find the peace and prosperity that they want in their new life.

Story
For the past decade, author Tian Dayton has been researching trauma and addiction, and how psychodrama (or sociometry group psychotherapy) can be used in their treatment. This latest book identifies the interconnection of trauma and addictive behavior, and shows why they can become an unending cycle. This groundbreaking audiobook offers listeners effective ways to work through their traumas in order to heal their addictions and their predilection toward what clinicians call self-medicating.

I really enjoyed listening to this book. There are so many aspects of trauma and how it affects each of us. Tian does a great job of breaking it down and talking it out.

Story
Harry Potter has never even heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. Addressed in green ink on yellowish parchment with a purple seal, they are swiftly confiscated by his grisly aunt and uncle. Then, on Harry's eleventh birthday, a great beetle-eyed giant of a man called Rubeus Hagrid bursts in with some astonishing news: Harry Potter is a wizard, and he has a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. An incredible adventure is about to begin!

Story
Lewis Howes grew up as an athlete. He was a two-sport All-American and went on to play football professionally. Howes then transferred his competitive nature from sports to business, building his podcast, The School of Greatness, into a global phenomenon. But his whole identity was built on misguided beliefs about what "masculinity" was: dangerous, false ideas learned from teammates and coaches in locker rooms and stereotypes in the media. Like so many men, Howes grew up to be angry, frustrated, and always chasing something that was never enough.

Gem of a book

It’s not often that you get a book with intriguing content, a great story and a voice that keeps you engaged. Lewis knocked it out of the park on this one! I also have been recommending this book to many people I know thar face some of the same misunderstandings of masculinity that I did. I came away from this book being a more loving human being. That’s worth every cent I spent on it.

Story
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

Different than I thought
Reviewed: 07-06-17
Initially I thought this was going to be a prepubescent rant about life, authority and the man. I found this to be quite opposite. It was fun but also very philosophical. I appreciated the author's respect for simplicity over complexity. The value of living life without fear was a prominent theme in this book. I also appreciated the intelligent humor and arguments presented while still being able to use the juvenile word fuck.

Why didn't I learn this in economics?
Reviewed: 05-26-17
I'm angry at our American Public educational system and I'm angry at the current financial institutions. I should've learned these concepts in high school to be able to prepare myself for adulthood. It's insanity to me that those who lead our financial institutions have an option to not look out for your good as a customer. The truth about this is they know full well what they're doing but have put the blinders on their customers. Tony Robbins does an excellent job removing the blinders. I'm thankful he wrote this book and I encourage people to read it.

Left wanting
Reviewed: 11-04-16
I initially got this book because it had great reviews. There were parts of the authors story that I really liked. The sharing of his personal journey, his struggles and his honesty. The other parts I didn't like was his ability to take scripture and come to the conclusion that he has to live a celebrate life as a gay Christian. Seems to me he is living in his head. I feel sad for him because he may find love in another gay Christian that would fulfill him on some levels. Let's be real. Sex fulfills on a certain level. Why can't this author experience that in his lifetime in a healthy matter?
