I loved this! I usually veer toward full cast listens, but I’m glad I gave this a chance. The narrator is perfect for this book. The story kept me guessing to the end.

Heartbreaking

I read reviews about it before I listened, and a lot of them said it was morbid. That intrigued me into listening. I thought it was heartbreaking and beautiful. I even cried at the end. Definitely worth a listen.

Then it all goes disastrously wrong. What they thought was an uninhabited backwater turns out to be anything but empty.

It has everything I love to read…sci-fi and comedy. It lost my attention a couple times but got it back pretty quickly. Main reason I got it was because it’s narrated by Nathan Fillion, glad the story was good too.

Loved everything but the politics

Seems like it’s impossible to escape the politics going on in the world lately. And this was no different. It redeemed itself with the the great actors and the overall story though. Was a little bummed when it was over.

The Trench, a supermax prison at the bottom of the deepest part of the Pacific Ocean—toss them in and throw away the key. “Inescapable” doesn’t even begin to describe this place. Even if I could get past the power dampeners and multiple layers of security, where am I going to go? Oh yeah, did I mention I am now the Trench’s newest inmate because I refused to give up being a masked crimefighter?
