Story
Meet Ove. He's a curmudgeon - the kind of man who points at people he dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside his bedroom window. He has staunch principles, strict routines, and a short fuse. People call him "the bitter neighbor from hell". But behind the cranky exterior there is a story and a sadness.

A simple heartwarming story
Reviewed: 07-21-17
While the overall theme of the story is sweet, sad, and somewhat relatable, the book itself was a little slow and repetitious. It's a simple story that doesn't require you're whole attention, so I don't recommend if you're looking for something to lose yourself in.

Long story but very captivating

First of all I want to say that Humphrey Bower is an amazing narrator! He does every accent so incredibly well and his pronunciation is fabulous! With all of the different characters and languages he just flows right through so effortlessly.
This is a very long book with so much detail that it seems almost overwhelming, however you easily become addicted. The story telling is made to be seen so vivid in your imagination that you can't help but think this would be a great movie (or two). Some parts are a little slow, but they are few and far between. Overall there's action, adventure, romance, friendship, and sorrow. I recommend whole heartedly!

Totally awesome!

A great book for anyone who loved the 80's and 90's. So many great references that will have you reminiscing the past but in a story that's more "futuristic". Wil Wheaton does a wonderful job telling the story. Can't wait for the movie!
