This is a very good compilation of crime stories. They are very well told by the narrator as always.

Story
When Robert Hardwick’s daughter, Grace, was struggling to reach home because the nation was collapsing, he couldn’t wait. He went after her, finally finding her at one of the safe houses he’d arranged along her route home, a friend’s survival compound in the mountains of northern Georgia. A chance encounter at the compound gave Grace the opportunity to hitch a ride home in a chopper while Robert chose to wait for an injured friend to heal up.

Excellent addition to this series!

This is a very well written book. I read the end of each day I hated to push stop but I also couldn’t wait to start the book up again the next day. All of the characters were well written and developed in the story. I can’t wait for the next book.

This ranks up with one of the best apocalyptic books I’ve ever listened
to. It is spellbinding from beginning to end.

Story
In the fall of 1978, Ray Ordorica packed everything he thought he would need into his Toyota LandCruiser and drove north to Alaska. He came to a land he had never seen, to find something he wasn't even sure existed: a wilderness cabin he could use for a year or more to live, think, relax, read, and write. Ordorica found his cabin, fixed it up, and, although it was just an un-insulated 12- by 16-foot one-room log structure, he spent three winters in it in relative comfort.

Started out good...

This book started out really good. Towards the last fourth of the book it was more boring than reading a persons grocery list. It seems as if the author wanted just to fill space.
