Story hard to swallow

I listened to this book until I could no longer. Having been a two time cancer survivor and losing my grandmother to ovarian, watching my sister suffer through breast cancer and my mom struggling with lung cancer after cervical cancer, this book pokes fun at all our struggles. it does not happen that way but many would do anything to be cured from a dog. I understand this is a book but I have always read Koontz to feel good not worse. I even removed this book from my library and I have a serious collection.

Broken and not redeemed
Reviewed: 05-11-22
I did not enjoy the main character. There was nothing redeeming about his character. I finished the book because I wanted to know about his son and co-worker. I have read stories with broken characters before but there is something redeeming about them.
