Finally! A REAL Plan for Women managing Business and Family
Reviewed: 01-14-24
Finally a tangible plan that's inclusive of what working mothers go through planning their lives. Thank you for the research on what a woman's time is worth. Puts an end to feeling guilty about not fitting into BS patriarchal roles of the "little woman" when she, from a decision 100% her own, to be a woman that is an entrepreneur or works on things that do not pertain to her family. No man is ever made to feel guilty about it, and neither should any adult.
Relatable stories that help me set goals that feel achievable.

Story-telling at It's BEST
Reviewed: 08-28-23
I could visual the characters and scenes in the story. They resonated with me. The familiar sounding stories in my family and I felt like I was apart of story enveloped in the experience of each character. I felt compassion for those left behind, those who glorify being privilege, those not understanding their privilege, and those who chase happiness. Was every character chasing happiness in their own way? Had certain characters made peace with not finding what they longed for?
The sights, sounds, and scents were tangible as I heard THE legendary Toni Morrison speak. I loved her low rhapsy voice. It was so familiar.
I'm a happy ending lover. The ending was not what I wanted but I get it.
This is storytelling. ❤️

The 12 Week Year

Story
Most organizations and individuals work in the context of annual goals and plans; a 12-month execution cycle. Instead, The 12 Week Year avoids the pitfalls and low productivity of annualized thinking. This book redefines your "year" to be 12 weeks long. In 12 weeks, there just isn't enough time to get complacent, and urgency increases and intensifies. The 12 Week Year creates focus and clarity on what matters most and a sense of urgency to do it now. In the end more of the important stuff gets done and the impact on results is profound.

This is one of Dr. Murphy's best books, on a par with his classic Power of your Subconscious Mind. It explains the difference between the conscious and subconscious mind, and how the two work together to create the reality of the individual. As in Murphy's other books, examples are given of how people overcame problems or manifested their desires by changing their minds through belief, affirmation, and visualization.

Great advice for introverts to be comfortable with being more visible and remove a lot of the anxiety of being visible.
I appreciate the tips on how to work with extroverts so we can still be seen and heard.
I recommend this to early career adults as well as seasoned introverts that are ready to move into a higher position.
Loved the pdf workbook. That helped me do inner work and it resonated on a deeper level. That of which I as an introvert appreciate greatly.
