In their first book together, best-selling authors Robert and Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth share biblical and modern-day stories of God’s providence at work, including their own story of finding love and marrying - the first time for Nancy at age 57 and the second time for Robert, a widower. Each story will inspire you as you watch God redeem impossible situations in the unlikeliest ways. Learn to see His hand in your life, and you'll never be the same.

A Wonderful, Scripturally Founded, Encouragement!

I have thoroughly enjoyed You Can Trust God to Write Your Story – this has been a book that with every "turn of the page" I have felt a resounding “Amen” from my spirit. I am so thankful to see material like this being published. Addressing the hard and puzzling things in life and showing scripturally and through testimonies that yes, we can trust God to write our stories and that in the end it will be the best possible outcome. I love how the authors take a look at what makes a good story – conflict. And how while for entertainment that is what we want to see in a storyline but in our own stories we want boring conflict-free lives. And it is just not so, if that were the case we would NEVER grow in Christ!
Probably my favorite chapters are “You Can Trust God When You Lose a Loved One” and “You Can Trust God When You’re Facing Death”. In my own story, I have lost my first son J.R. to congenital heart disease when he was 11 months old. No chapter in my life has been more painful or filled with God’s glory and I would also say that it was a pivotal moment in my life too because it drove my relationship with the Lord so much deeper and really was a huge course correction to me and my family. Not that I was on a “bad” trajectory, but it was like a meteor knocking us into a completely different orbit. And I am so very grateful! Our lives are so very different than they would have been without J.R. and God has blessed us through it and made us a blessing as only He can do!
Understanding God’s providence in our lives will help bring you peace as you trust God walking through the dark valleys. This is a book I will give to friends to encourage them and that I will revisit again and again. Well done Nancy Leigh and Robert, well done!
Side note – I thoroughly enjoy it when the authors themselves narrate the book, so bonus on that!
